Our 512™ Slim Taper—made with stretch selvedge denim. These jeans are part of our most versatile family of fits and are a go-to for every occasion. These are probably the best quality jeans I've ever bought. I didn't know a thing about selvedge denim, or Japanese fabric, I just thought they were quite unique when I found them on the clearance rack of the local outlet store. The blue Levi's tag, the rising sun tag inside, the blue/black rising sun tag on the back, and the quality of the fabric was something I'd never seen before. I was told they were an online return, and I honestly think I bought the pair another reviewer (Stevenc) returned, as they're the exact same size. Let's just say I didn't pay anywhere near full price for them.

I LOVE THESE JEANS. Everything is perfect. Fit, cut, waist not too high (pet peeve that happens often for me) but not too low, color, details - white accent on rear belt loop, premium black leather label and little Japanese flag inside. Looking forward to many years of these. These are IT.

Levi’s has made the perfect men’s jean. THE END. Seriously, there is not one thing I would change about these jeans. From the way they sit just right at the waist, neither too high (pet peeve) nor too low, the just as described sweet spot slim taper fit, the quality of craftsmanship, the details - white accent on rear belt loop, premium black leather Levi’s patch, and the little Japanese flag on the inside as a nod to Selvedge, the length breaking right on my foot, the fit in the seat, the rinse color, the just right amount of stretch - they give a little and move with me but not so much that they lose their shape. I may never take these off! Fits just as listed. I’m 53, 33” waist, and 31/32” length (these 32” are perfect for jeans). LOVE LOVE LOVE.

The style and details are tremendous and the fabric is excellent. Unfortunately, for me, the lower leg was too snug (my fault not the garment) and regrettably I had to return them.

Misleading

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding a recent purchase made through the Levi's Philippines website. I purchased the "Levi's Men's Japanese Selvedge 512 Slim Taper Jeans (https://levi.com.ph/products/levis-mens-japanese-selvedge-512-slim-taper-jeans-a58770000?variant=49863547289831)" advertised online. Since this item was sold out on the Australian website, I arranged for a friend to purchase it and ship it to me in Australia. The product advertised on the website is explicitly marketed as Japanese-made Levi's. However, the denim I received is labeled as "Made in China." Furthermore, the badge is incorrect; the badge shown online features the Japanese flag embossed on the side, which the received item lacks (please see the attached image). While the mid-ridge color appears correct, the product is not the "MOJ 512 Dark Rinse" I expected. I pay a premium for Levi's products based on trust and the expectation that I will receive the item exactly as advertised on your official website. Receiving a product with a different country of manufacture and non-conforming details feels misleading and dishonest.
