1954 501® Original Fit Men's Jeans
In the mid–1950's, LS&Co. started selling the 501® Jean on America's east coast for the first time. In order to suit the needs and preferences of the era, a zipper version of the button fly was introduced. It had everything longtime wearers loved: the straight fit with tapered leg, the tough but flexible fabrics, and concealed rivets. Retailers carried both the 501® Jean and its zippered brother, the 501® Jeans, and everyone got the pair that worked best for them.
