About this Style
Our Barrel Jeans were inspired by folks who wear super oversized vintage 501® Original jeans, cinching the waist like a paper bag and in turn creating an exaggerated "barrel" shaped leg. What that means for you: these Barrel Jeans were constructed with a relaxed, looser fit and a slight taper, then cropped at the ankle. The overall effect is a bold, slightly curvy shape.

I own the Barrel jeans in 3 different colors - the Moj dark rinse (Made in China w/ Japanese fabric), the Kumo light rinse (Made in Japan), and the Mij Sengai Medium (Made in Japan). All three are fantastic in their own way. The dark rinse has a workwear feel, the light rinse is more street/summer, and the medium has a 90's vibe. You do have to know how to style them in order to avoid looking like mom jeans, but they can really strike an interesting silhouette. I've also tried different sizes. What worked well for me was ordering the same size as my Wedgie size, or one size down. Two sizes down was too small.

My new favorite jeans

I rarely am compelled to write reviews but these fit so perfectly. I’m 5’4”, 41 years old. Had my first baby 11 months ago, and none of my pants fit. When I read the other reviews saying these ran big, I took a chance and bought my normal size. They hold me in without feeling uncomfortable and the denim quality is great! So happy with this purchase.

Awesome jeans...very sturdy but comfortable and so flattering. I am ordering a second pair...these are the best jeans I've ever had. I ordered up one size and they are perfect.

Top quality jeans!

Very happy with the quality and fit of these jeans. Lovely shape and a good cropped length on my 5.5ft frame. They come up quite large so you might want to order a few sizes depending desired fit.

I absolutely love everything about these jeans.

The fabric is the softest I've had in any pair of Levi's jeans. I love it.
Be aware that it is distressed fabric, and there are spots of slightly different blues here and there. It is not an even color, but it's fine.
I got a size down because I have the other two colors in this style, and definitely you need to size down.
Finally, it is usually not my color (too light), but I absolutely love everything about these jeans.

Sizing runs very large

The fit and feel of these jeans is delightfully old-school - 100% thick, beautiful denim with no stretch, a high waist and room y legs. Be wary of the sizing, however - I had to buy these 3 times (once with no refund) in order to get my size. They run VERY large. I suggest buying 2 sizes down.

I’m a 5’2” curvy Asian. I’ve gained a few pounds and ordered my normal size as the description read it fits somewhat big, a size 27. Kinda a risk considering this is no stretch, 💯 cotton and final sale when purchased. But surprisingly, it was a success. The length of leg hits at the bottom of my ankle like a full pant. A little long for my style as I like a more cropped look to compliment my petite frame. I will eventually hemmed it to my desired length. Love that the crotch isn’t short. That’s my main issue with finding jeans is that the crotch is short and tight and has weird bunching. When it goes back on sale I may buy another pair. I have been wearing this today and it stretches slightly molding to my body comfortably. Love the high rise. I’ve tossed my other jeans and this and the other wash will be a daily wear.

Expensive but worth the money

I typically wear ladies size 8/10, medium clothing. I hadn’t worn Levi’s in a decade - not a fan of all the stretch added to denim. I decided to give these a try. I am 5 ft 2 and 150 pounds - thick thighs. These jeans fit perfectly! I love the high waist - they hit just above my belly button - so everything is held in nicely! The legs are loose without being huge. I know these are suppose to be a barrel cut but honestly they just seem like a nice slightly wide straight leg Jean. The denim weight is perfect. I have them in size 28 ( tighter for fitted ) and size 29 ( baggier oversized fit). Absolutely love these jeans and wish they were half the cost or included in sales because I would love more pairs of them.

Great denim, definitely true to size

First and foremost, this is excellent denim. Old school, sturdy, quality denim that also feels good. The cut is a little slimmer than I associate with barrel styles, but they have a lovely structure. The 24” inseam is excessively cropped, and isn’t particularly flattering on my not-petite frame. Mostly, I want to say that, despite multiple reviews to the contrary, these jeans are very much true to size. I can wear a 30 or a 31, and sized down after reading the reviews. I’m disappointed that I did, as I would have preferred the roomier fit in the non stretch denim. I am a bit of a middle aged pear, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Super beau Jean, rend exactement comme sur la photo, je l'aime trop !
Taille un peu grand, j'ai pris du 27 comme d'habitude, un 26 aurait été plus à ma taille mais je le garde quand même car stock épuisé.
Seul point négatif pour moi, le jean est trop rigide et épais, un jean light aurais été plus agréable et moins chaud pour l'été c'est pour ça que je met pas 5/5
Il n'y a pas assez de modèles avec Jean léger dans vos collections été, en magasin la vendeuse n'avait même rien à me proposer c'est dommage.
Et les stock sont tout le temps épuisé durant plusieurs mois sans être réapprovisionner sur pleins de modèles

These fit very well, I love the color! The length is just right for me- not too long or short (I'm 5'3). The material is not as soft as other Levi's jeans but I'm hoping a couple wears/washes will soften it.

These would have been cute but there is literally no barrel to this barrel jean. The leg is just a straight leg and they are extremely cropped(like mid calf and I’m 5’4”x definitely not special enough for the price point. Not sure what is so special about the fabrication, but just felt like a regular jean. To me. Much prefer the rigid 501 150th anniversary pair I bought at the same time. These are going back for sure.

I was so excited to get these jeans but they turned out to be a big disappointment. The material looks stained (not clearly shown in pictures on the website) and the size is off. Unfortunately they can’t be returned because they were on sale. I used to love Levi’s but these don’t match the quality one would expect.

Runs very big, the sizing guide on Levi's is not accurate (I based my purchase on the sizing guide). It's final sale and I'm stuck with it.
