What the heck happened???

I used to live in Levi's 505's for years! So comfortable and fit exactly right. Enter the yoga pant phase. I decided to go back to Levi's 505's and bought these in black. They're not even denim! IDK what they are but they're not denim. They're stiff and scratchy and fit entirely wrong. The bottoms are more like boot cut..way too wide. I should have kept the tags on and tried them on before I washed them. I've NEVER had a sizing/fitting issue in the past. So disappointing.

No, I do not recommend this product.

what happened...

Used to buy this for work, required to wear black. Last few pairs, stretch out too much, fade to quickly in cold water wash. Very different than LEVI used to be. They must be outsourcing, and using cheap material. Have wasted to much money on these failures. Need to find a good black jean, straight leg, that does not fade or stretch out after 2 weeks. Any advice appreciated.

Not happy with product

If i am spending that lind of money for levi jeans I would like the material to be like a jean material seams to line up straight and not twist. Not happy with any of the items I ordered. All of them the material has gotten so thin you have layer it in ordered to get true color in exercise blouses. Cheap cheap made

What happened to Levi jeans?

I’m so disappointed, the fabric, the fit, I purchased three pair and none of them is the same. I don’t know what happened to the quality Levi’s used to have. Sadly I returned them and will not be purchasing again .

No, I do not recommend this product.

Levi failed

How about making jeans out of real denim and if the size says 10 short how about them being made short length instead of the length of regular sizes.

I see others miss the Real Denim as I do!

I am from the days of Hard Dependable Denim. Starch them, wash them, treat them harsh, and the denim jeans would last and last and last. This new "stretch" jean is an not a JEAN. I want dependable form, allowing for tough wear and tear. Men get to wear real jeans without stretch, what makes LEVI think we don't want real jeans too. I DO!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very disappointed not the same as old Levi

I have worn Levi straight legs for over 30 years. I just bought size 8S black color. I thought the same as my old jeans so I took the tags off and washed it right away. I was so disappointed with these 1. The black color fades a lot after the first washing 2. The material had a chemical smell 3. Baggy in the thigh and much wider thru hip and legs

I love the fit of these pants and the way they look, but after washing then i noticed they were frayed and the stitching was coming out. I'm very disappointed. A brand new pair of pants.

The jeans were more like boot leg, not straight leg. Looked terrible on me and were too big. Gave them to a friend.

Disappointed

I ordered the 505 straight jeans in black and washed blue jean color and unfortunately I ordered before reading the reviews... I am returning the black pair because they were too long and had a flair at the bottom which I don't like. The light blue pair fits and good length but again the bottoms flair out too much for the straight leg look!!! I may cuff and wear as boyfriend style but not sure... I was so disappointed! The pairs fit differently as noted in several reviews!!! Anyway will not order. Levi's again unless I go into the store because the sizing on line is really off I usually wear a size 8 but ordered a 10 which fit but looked weird I can't really put my finger on it but these levi's don't feel original or very well made. On the upside delivery was fast and even came a few days early but I believe I will take them back to the store.

Not original 505

Extremely thin jeans, they are more like leggings. The jeans have cheap, sloppy looking seams and overall the material looks cheap. The back pocket seams were half there on one pocket and the other was coming undone. I hope this isn’t the new quality of 505’s. I’m returning the same day they arrived without hesitation.

Not The Real 505's

No way I would consider these a "straight leg" jean. Saggy in all the wrong places and too much "stretch" that doesn't stretch back. Midrise is higher than mid and the regular length is too long. Miss the legit Levi's 505's..

I loved them until now.

I have three older pairs of these jeans which were all cotton. I’m still wearing them and even though one pair has a rip in the knee. I thought since I was going on a trip a would buy a coup,e of new pairs. What a disappointment. I how feel like I’m wearing saddle bags on my hips. They no longer shrink to fit. I won’t be buying any more. I only wear one new pair when I’m washing the others a try not to wear them outside the house. H e to wear a new brand.

Disappointed

I bought 4 pairs all the same size. Got them home 1 to small 2 to big and 1 was ok. Why are the men's jeans a better quality? Get rid of the spandex and use denim again. They do not hold up to every day wear. I have worn Levi for 20+ year's and now I am in the market for a new brand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

To long

I bought a size long because I am 5’10” however the jeans were way to long, and they seemed more flared than straight legged. Not a good fit for me, I returned them.

These jeans say they are relaxed fit through the hips and thighs, they fit way too loose. I also bought them in short because I am 5'4 they fit me longer and I am the tallest in misses short range. I am going to return them.

Horrible!!!

I used to love 505 but just replaced a pair and after wearing them for awhile I was constantly pulling them up. Only 60% cotton!!! Why put Viscose in these jeans. Will not hold up like cotton, is a cheaper material and for the price I paid, these jeans should have 99% cotton in them. The fit is not accurate. The size 8 was bigger then the 10 by a 1/2 inch. Had to try on multiple pairs in the store. All for nothing because now I will be returning them because they won't stay up. Please bring back 99% cotton.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Brand has gone even further downhill.

I have been buying Levi's my whole life (5 decades). It was hard enough to get used to some polyester and elastane in jeans but their current 505's are deplorable. Only 60% cotton. As one reviewer said - if I wanted to buy/wear leggings, I would. They fit like tight stretch pants. Awful! Returning my two pairs today and swearing off Levi's. Got some Gloria Vanderbilt's that are 98% cotton instead.

No, I do not recommend this product.

AWFULN

These are the worst yet, unless you like polyester stretch pants. I didn't pay for leggings. I was expecting jeans. Didn't even bother trying them on. Sad that Levi's has changed so drastically, what happened to the quality in this product....

What happened to real jeans?!

I purchased these in a 2 and 4 since size now means nothing and a 4 can actually be an 8, etc. The 2 was good when I tried them on and I thought when it gets cold I can wear leggings under the 4. Wore the 2 yesterday. Okay for the first hour but by the end of the day they were all saggy and stretched out. I don't want stretch denim - I want good ole dungarees! The fabric is thin and I think straight leg is being a bit generous - more like boot cut. What happened to the 525 perfect ones? Not making them anymore. Guess I'm done with Levi's.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Horrible smell!

Don't buy these! They smell horrible. They smell like feces. Really. I googled it and discovered that others have had the same problem. I washed them six times. I soaked them in white vinegar. I soaked them in baking soda and water. Nothing worked. They still smelled disgusting.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Upset with the quality of Levi’s

I was really upset with the quality of the Levi’s I received. The jeans have a hole in them. The fabric is not the quality it used to be. I hadn’t even worn them yet before washing and there’s a hole. Very disappointed.

Stretch denim is awful-bring back the Real Denim!

I've worn Levi's denim jeans for over 30 years - the good, classic, REAL denim that is. Now I can't find any 'real' denim anymore. My last pair just ripped in a place that is not appropriate for public view. But can I find any non-stretchy (cheap) denim to replace them? Nope! Not even from Levi's itself - the very company that first introduced REAL denim. No other brands fit and feel as good as classic denim from Levi's. I don't want to go somewhere else for my jeans, but I guess I have no choice. I too just bought a pair that I thought was identical to the ones I ripped - but they are huge and stretchy and ugly. I am disappointed beyond belief.

Smell

I just bought 2 pair of 505’s. I have washed them 4 times and the smell is still horrible. I threw tags away or I would return. It makes me worried exactly what is in dye and if this is safe to wear.

Not a straight-leg jeans

Except for the color, I really do not like these! The are supposed to be straight-leg jeans, but are much wider than any of my other Levi's straight-leg jeans. They are more like a bootcut. And the length is way too long compared to all my other Levi's. These also seem to run a bit bigger.

Worst Jeans I've ever purchased!

I ordered a 12 (and I normally wear an 8 or 10) as the reviews said they ran "small". They are too stretchy - didn't read anything about them being stretchy. The material is weird - can't describe it. They are made for someone with bigger hips and thighs. And they are NOT as pictured at all. They say straight-leg but they are boot cut. Do not waste your money on these!!!

Why bother to give it a model/style # if you are not delivering the same product?

I have a pair of straight leg 505 S6 Ambiance and have been wearing it for years. I reordered the same size and same model but was very disappointed with the fabric and the length of the jeans. The jeans are a bit too long to be for SHORT. If you are not keeping the style and quality the same, why even bother to name it the same product?

No, I do not recommend this product.
