I bought this a while back and haven’t gotten to wear it much since it’s cold in the spring where I live. Couple things to consider: if you have hips and thighs but a small waist, these are quite tight in those areas and this squishing your bum a little.. I am not sure if they will break in enough to where it would be perfect for the look I want? it is narrow through hips and thighs...

The shorts were nice from the back but a bit too short at the front for me. They come to the top of the thigh and for my legs I think mid thigh suits better

These are a great style and the fit is great. I bought the 27, which was the only size available, and my measurements are waist 28", hip 37". It definitely fits me tightly, but they look amazing. For reference, the 501's I bought in March are size 27 and they are too large after an hour of wear; these fit tightly for the whole day. My one complaint is the length - 2.5" inseam is just too short to be practical for most people. A 3.5-4" inseam would be so much more flexible. I had actually bought and returned the exact shorts in March because they were too short. I loved everything but the length, so this time I bought them because they were less than half the price I paid in March, which allows me to sacrifice some practicality. If Levi's would make a Ribcage short with a 3.5-4.5" inseam, I'd buy it in every color.

I just bought these and sized up par the other review about booty, I probably shouldn't have sized up so much but even then it feels like my butt is hanging out. Just generally not a flattering cut.

Style-wise they were cute looking and the perfect length for a woman. However I had to return them because they were extremely tight. The length on the behind was fine, but I could not button them. I bought another pair in a different style and those fit me, so I think these run small. Aside from the buttons not fitting, this pair was just extremely difficult to button in the first place. I had to stretch the button holes beforehand. When I tried to go online for an exchange they were out of the bigger size. That’s okay though because I returned them in store for a 501 pair that I love!

Cute shorts, I had great expectations, but they run small. We washed them right away due to virus concerns, now it’s too late to return. Order a larger size!

I wear my moms Levi shorts size 25 from the 90s and they fit perfect so I bought these in 25 as well and they were WAY too tight. My butt hung out and was flattened cause of the tightness. I’m super thin and 5’11 weighing 135 and these were super tight. Order a size up!!!

I’m a true 26 in almost every brand I wear, including Levi’s 501s. I’ve never tried any of the ribcage styles before, but reviews are correct and you should definitely size up! The 26 fit my waist and legs, but they’re just a bit tighter and shorter than I would have liked. Since there is a pretty substantial return fee and they ran out of the size I would prefer (27), I’m still going to keep and hope the thick denim stretches a bit. Don’t get me wrong though, if the sizing was accurate these would probably be the perfect denim shorts!

The shorts are cute, and good quality, which is why i only wear Levi's jeans. I was disapointed when the 32 fit much smaller then any other style of shorts / jeans I've worn from Levi's

I'm 5'8, so these are probably fine for a shorter girl, but for me, the inseam was waaaaay tooo short- my butt was hanging out! Totally can't wear them. The ribcage part was really cute, and I liked the denim wash, so I was really disappointed. Also, the hips were slim cut so maybe would be better for girls with straight hips, but not ideal for hourglass girls with tiny waists and big hips. Really struggling here to find high-waist shorts that don't show my butt.

First: The description clearly says these have a zipper fly but they're actually button fly. I guess I don't mind but I wouldve preferred zipper (s the description says).. These fit pretty snug but if i were to gain weight, they wouldn't fit me, which is surprising because I sized up. To give you an idea, I am 5'3", 100 lb and they just barely fit me. The length meets that bare minimum in my book as it falls just RIGHT below the butt. There's a raw seam so we'll see how it washes. Overall, slightly disappointed in the fit and length but they're fine

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing! Love the cut of the ribacage products and have several pairs of ribcage jeans. I’ll start by saying these are great quality shorts. As the fit was described the same as a pair of non-stretch ribcages I already have, I thought I was safe ordering my usual size. These fit SO MUCH SMALLER-I say at least two sizes. This is more than disappointing as I bought them on sale and can’t return or exchange.

I am 5’5”, 110 pounds. I have several pairs of levi’s that are all size 25, even one pair in this exact style. I figured since the one pair of levi’s that actually fit me are a size 25, in this same exact style, that a size 25 in this exact pair would fit. Nope! These new levi’s are way too big, they feel like they are at least 3 sizes too big which is annoying. It’s pretty frustrating that every single pair of levi’s I have fits completely different regardless of being the same size/style. It’s impossible to find levi’s that actually fit me when a size 25 could actually mean they will ‘feel’ like a size anywhere between 23-28. I also recently bought 2 pairs of high rise jeans because I am on a mission to find clothes that actually fit me. I decided to size down and get a size 24 in both styles. One pair is way too small, can’t even button them, one pair is way too big that even with a belt, I have to pull them up every 2 minutes. You would think I would learn my lesson by now and just stop purchasing levi’s - but it’s the only brand I’ve ever loved!! I think it might be time for me to take the loss and stop purchasing them though, considering out of every 8 pairs I have, 1 pair fits me. It’s a bummer because these shorts are so dang cute otherwise.

Ordered two sizes and both were too tight. Funny thing is I currently own the jeans in the sizes I ordered the shorts which fit great.

These jeans are so cute, but they are much smaller than my other Levi’s products.

Following other reviewers’ suggestion, I ordered up one size because these shorts run small, and they weren’t kidding. It was definitely snug. I should’ve ordered two sizes up. But regardless, I’ll be returning these because they have a button fly, which was not mentioned anywhere in the product description. So buyer beware—THESE HAVE A BUTTON FLY!

Bought two other pairs of levis shorts that fit like a glove but these ones are just way off…. Beautiful design just keep in mind that you might have to size up 1 or 2 sizes…

I bought these shorts along with 2 pairs of jeans. All of them in the same size. The jeans fit perfectly, the shorts are even close to closing. Had to send back.

I love the cut and wash of these shorts but the bottom edge frays like nobody’s business. Wearing for a day, or washing even once, causes an absurd amount of strings to hang and tangle together. I’m worried the shorts will continue unravelling until my crotch hangs out

runs small. I normally wear a 32 (size 12 in other sizing) and these don’t come in sizes higher than 32. rude

So I ordered multiple sizes since I knew Levi’s sizing can vary but I didn’t know they varied this much. I ordered a 27 and a 28, thinking a 28 would fit me better. I thought I was crazy but 28 was a lot smaller than the 27. I compared the two and realized the 28 inseam is a half inch short than the 27. How does that make any sense? The shorts are already super short and then you lop off another 1/2 inch so more bits can hang out? Either Levi’s mislabeled but I just find it crazy that sizing can be off like that. Also the shorts took three weeks to arrive so. Lol be aware shipping can take a looong time, three o’s for each week it took for it to arrive.

I bought a pair of these shorts in the same size of every color they sell, and I tried these on first. I almost burst into tears! I bought these in a size up after covid, so when these fit as tight as they did and I didn’t understand why, it made me so upset. Then I tried on the color one shade lighter than these, and I could breathe again. That’s when I decided it was okay to eat the apple I had in my hand. This color absolutely, 100% fits tighter than the other color. I could pull them on, but it was as if the color made the fabric much more thick and much more unforgiving. I may have to return them, but I got them on. They aren’t comfortable. The lighter shades are much more comfortable and I am able to breathe in them. Hope this helps!

I am a little disappointed in these shorts. I love Levi's brand and I know that the fits are always weird depending on the style. I am anywhere from 24 - 26 in levis and I got these in size 26. They fit fine they just really awkward and not what i was expecting. they do not look like on the model as shown. Also very disappointed that mine still came with the sensor on them??? I want to avoid going in store to get it taken off if I keep them, so i might just return them via mail altogether.

I went with the same size I take for the Ribcage jeans. They fit great (I'm 5'2, 105 lbs, 34.5" hips) but on, they look almost like a too-short pair of bermuda shorts, instead of the more A-line shape I prefer -- so, yeah, not quite the look I'm going for. Even if I sized up, the waist would be too large and the length would probably be too long. They also seemed to flatten out my bum instead of flatter/lift the way the Ribcage jeans do. Sad. Had to return.

I was so excited to get these shorts, especially on sale! I am a consistent 28 in Levi Jeans. For comparison I am a 26/27 in Madewell, 26/27 in J Crew, 4 in Gap Jeans. I got two pairs of shorts in the 28. These and the Wide Leg Mid Length Womens Shorts. The Ribcage shorts were so small, even when held up against the other style, the waist band was noticeably smaller. They are cute and well made, but come on Levi. Consistency.

I’ll start by saying that I live foe the ribcage Jeans. I have so many pairs. All in size 26, though the washes vary and some are tighter than others. For the shorts, I ordered in size 27 just so I would have some extra room as that’s how I like my shorts. The waist is fine but the hips are super fitted. And they are hella short. I’m 5’9 so maybe for someone a bit shorter it would work but like other reviewers said, my backside is hanging out. If you like some butt cleavage, these will be your jam.

Ordered two pairs I normally wear 27/28 I sized up to 29 and I couldn’t even get them up. They also flattened out everything.

These shorts fit really weird and make you look super rectangular. The sizing also feels off.. going to return.
