Great jacket!

Glad got the jacket with great sale price. It is very stylish. It is kind of heavy though. It’s true to size. However, I ordered one size up for loose and casual looking. Larger size does look better on me.

IT FIT! Or, A Stocky Girl’s Quest For A Dress
5 years ago
After months of agonizing about the price point, the size, and the fleeting nature of both the Western and tie-dye trends, I got spooked by a “less than five” notification and purchased immediately. Afterwards I suffered the usual anxiety, particularly about the sizing, as the online fit bot told me I needed an XL, and the bot is usually right. I’m 5’4” and 175 lbs, but I work out three times a week and my natural waist is a 29. I’m an hourglass with most of my bulk being in my chest and upper arms as well as my glutes and quads, and as such Levi’s products can be kind of a roulette situation for me. Fortunately, this dress was surprisingly perfect. Room for my thighs, butt, boobs, and biceps, but not too baggy or too short. Hits mid-thigh, sleeves teensiest bit long but they look great cuffed. A slight tendency for the fabric between the shoulders to bubble above the slope of the butt, because of the difference in proportions, but easily remedied with belting or going unbuttoned as a jacket or coat. The quality of construction and fabric are both excellent, with the fringe looking sturdy and crafted as opposed to cheap. Overall, super-pleased, and even when the Western or tie-dye/dip-dye trends fizzle out, this piece has the makings of a new classic, and I’m going to wearing it for a long time.

Cool and unusual but needs work
I purchased it elsewhere first but had to return due to a defect in the sleeve cuff attachment seam (you'd think LMC item would have a superior quality!)
I'm trying my luck again with the Levi's website despite there being a few things I didn't like about this "dress" and the stars I took out of the rating:
1. The armhole and sleeve are very poorly patterned: it's nearly impossible to lift your arm in this "dress" and if you do - the whole side lifts up with it. I tried all other Levi's denim jackets I have (and I have a few) and none had the same issue.
2. The buttonholes were too tight. I had a hard time unbuttoning them and then had to clip each one further to be able to button the "dress"
3. The button/buttonhole spacing is too far apart at the bottom and gapes if you take wider steps or have hands in the pockets thus potentially exposing your undies and "the area". So if you're planning to wear it as a dress, I'd suggest adding large sew-in snaps between the bottom three snaps.
4. The jacket is VERY heavy, I think mostly because of all the fringe. The fringe is also pretty unruly and not as smooth as it appears on the photo. Though, since I knew I had to return the "dress", I didn't bother with steaming it. Maybe it would help.
Lots of cons here BUT the "dress" is VERY special! VERY unusual. I'm planning to keep it if they are no defects in the sewing but will have to put in some work into like taking out sleeve fringe and adding a separating zip? - TBD (I'm a fashion professional and have the skills to tailor/alter).
Overall, the "dress" fits on the larger side of "true to size" and looks really cool with a western-style belt and tall black boots.
