About this Style

The 1953 Type II Jacket is a slightly updated and modified version of Levi’s® iconic Type I Jacket made in 1936. Cut from rigid selvedge denim, it was considered the unofficial uniform of the American working man. True to the original, this icon features the “Two Horse” lot 507 leather patch, a double pleated front, waist adjusters and a Big "E" Red Tab™.

Great jacket. Question about the tag

I ordered this jacket but it's not the one I received. The pockets are shorter and the tag says "507XX". I'm very happy with the jacket but can someone explain the difference? What does the "XX" mean?

Belle veste, originale et réalisée avec un excellent denim selvedge. La taille est assez ample mais c'est utile pour absorber l'inévitable rétrécissement en cas de lavage (pas encore tenté en revanche). Le prix est élevé mais justifié par le "made in Japan".

My Own “ Badlands” jacket!

I bought a month ago and happy I did. Wanted this for such a long time. My grandfather was buried in a pair of 501’s (all he ever wore) and all the pall bearers wore them in tribute. Such a great grandfather and he was a honest hard working man that represented a different time I look back on with admiration. This jacket also became a legend in the cult classic “ Badlands” and is my favorite out of the 3 types of classic Denim Jackets. Flawless denim and construction, I’ll wear it with pride

Beautiful jacket

Beautiful Levi's jacket made of the highest quality Japanese selvedge denim. Stitching and hardware is second to none. I'm 188cm and 100kg, fit athletic build with long arms and legs. Size XL fits me perfectly. I didn't know my wardrobe was missing this essential piece until it arrived.
