I remember when Levi's 501's were the only jeans I wanted to wear. But as I've gotten older I've tried and enjoyed all the other fabrics and styles of Levi's clothing. I wear Levi's because they always fit right, feel great, and I'm told, Levi's look good on me. In September, I went online and took advantage of some great sales Levi's was having. I thought was was done shopping, but then I saw the Grateful Dead 501's, and I knew I had to buy them. I tried to talk myself out of it, but Levi's forced me to buy them by reducing the price. so I ordered them and had to try them on, the day they arrived. They fit and feel great ! Once I figure out where I want the Grateful Dead patches sewn on, I'll wear them out and I'm sure others will tell me what they think about them. I enjoy wearing Levi's clothing because they are comfortable, I don't mind that others notice and comment on them. Because, so far, the comments are always positive.

I picked these up at my local Levi's store yesterday and it was love at first sight. The "DEAD" print is large and in the perfect spot on the jeans. The fit is classic 501. Being a collector, I appreciate whenever Levi's does these collaborations. It gives me something interesting to add to the collection. My only 2 issues: The patches aren't already placed, meaning you'll either have to pay the tailor shop to apply or sew on yourself (if you have the skills). Also, the denim has a little stretch in it. I just think it would've been a little more on-brand if they were all cotton or if they were part lyocell. For me, I usually steer clear of the stretch denim as it often loses its shape after 1 wear as the none stretch conforms to your body. Either way, 5 stars for mostly well-done execution. By far the highlight of the collection.
