Pay attention to sizing

I have a 23” waist and bought the size 23 shorts. I usually check size charts diligently, but somehow I missed it this time. Size 23 actually corresponds to a 24.25” waist according to the size chart. So if you have a smaller waist like me, the smallest size will be too loose. Sadly, I have to return these as there’s too much room in the waist. I wish Levi’s would do away with vanity sizing and produce actual 23s! Other than that, the shorts are well made, and the fit is as described.

Feel like the expected 501 quality and fit true to size. I am trying to decide if I want to keep them or not as they are very similar in color to another pair of cut off shorts I already own. Got them on sale, so the deal might be too good to pass up.
