Our source material is our own archive, and our inspiration is the hardworking men and women that the Levi’s® Brand has equipped for the last 150 years. In 1934, we introduced the first five-pocket jean especially built for women: the 701®. Made famous by the premiere American fashion magazine of its time, the 701® had a distinctly high-waisted, more curved fit. Today, we reproduced these glossy magazine-approved 1950s Women's 701 Jeans stitch-for-stitch using premium selvedge denim.

The perfect chic jean!!

Superb fit, soft yet bodacious denim with great drape, and chic cut with high rise, cinched at the waist and transitions to nice room at the thighs, I love these jeans (which TBH are better than a $420 designer pair I bought foolishly)! I hope Levi’s comes out with more washes in this model!

CHIC jeans bett than the $400 designer pair I own.

Best purchase this year! These jeans are identical (prob they are what inspired) to a very expensive designer pair I own. . . Maybe even better. The softest (yet not thin) denim, perfect, flattering cut that fits the waist and has room in the thigh, and very chic high-rise waist. I hope Levi’s comes out with more washes in this model!

Great pair of jeans

I generally like these jeans very much. I ordered my usual Levis size which turned out to be a mistake. I usually wear a size 26 but in Levis I wear 25 and i found that the 25 is a tad too small which i guess means they're true to size. Went ahead and ordered a 26 and expect them to fit perfectly. The rise is very high which gives them a true vintage fit. The denim is also really soft making them comfortable and easy to move in. Overall very impressed.

These pants, more than the typical jeans that you can think of, are more like slacks that are traditional jeans... if you can understand that. I'm saying this because the quality of the fabric and craftsmanship is obvious. The fabric is not as thick and stiff as other jeans that are made with Japanese fabric (such as the boyfriend jeans), but it is not light. As someone mentioned, you can not show off the fact that these are selvedge jeans because of the dyeing material. Would I buy them again in a different color? Absolutely--if I can get a good discount. #sweepstakes

Great pair of jeans

I am 28’ and 1.72 height and ordered 28’ inseam 32 they fit like a glove. The fabric is very soft which makes the high rise very comfortable at the hips and waist. The zipper quality is also great. I Am buying another wash in the sale 😉

I love them! I love how they fit around my waist and how they don't get loose over time. Its nice and snug around my waist. They're the perfect fit around my waist and hips.
