If you’ve never purchased from Levi Strauss, one of the most important things is that you know your size. The second most important thing is that you know whether the item has any stretch. After undergoing weight loss journey, I lost over 30 pounds and couldn’t fit any of my old clothes. I ordered a pair of jeans in a slightly smaller size than what I used to wear, and they were way too large still. With these shorts, I went three inches smaller. I could barely get them to button. Sizing with Levi’s is 1-2” smaller than the typical jean/pant sizing, at least for men. That being said, I fully expected for these jorts to be hilarious. Jorts have a bad reputation of being for dads, and this one, to my surprise, is actually really cute. The unfinished hem eschews any of the “daddy-ness” worries and instead makes for a fashionable summer bottom. As for the fit, it is not shapewear, and it doesn’t complement or enhance any curves, so if you’re looking for something that shows your natural body, look elsewhere. I don’t necessarily have a large butt, but this just sort of waterfalls straight off the back rather than hug the bottom. I think this enhances the “cut off jeans” look but at a cost. The denim is sturdy—firm even, and it uses a series of five buttons to fasten them. If you are too big, this would make a great lower girdle. I love the look of a button fastener, but in a pinch, you can’t make a quick escape for the bathroom or for any other duties that may arise that require you to de-pant, so keep that in mind. They are incredibly comfy, though, so I will be exchanging them for a slightly larger size, and I look forward to wearing them as the warmer months approach.

When I took part in influensters Levi's campaign, I decided to get these for my brother since his birthday was coming up. He loved them and they fit perfectly. I was worried about the length since he is quite tall but they are just right. They are very comfortable, great quality and the color is very nice too.

No real stretch to these at all as advertised and they're definitely designed for low rise. Which is incredible for that style and they're very well made shorts. I just can't take pictures in them because well, the buttons don't even fully go up
