I’ve had a few pairs of 514 over the years. Only wore holes in one pair. Only complaint is sizing (esp. length) and even occasionally fabric texture varies widely depending on what the country of origin is. Outside that they’re great. The fabric is lighter weight than 501 so these are great for summer.

A great pair of jeans that gets better the more you wear it. The only thing I don't like is the bleeding of the colors to porous objects like plastics and papers. Any humid day and this will pretty much ruin any papers in your back pocket!

I ordered my 1st pair of 514 straight fit a month ago. Now that I am retired I thought that I deserved a top quality pair of jeans. The pair of jeans that I had worn for years as my GOOD jeans, (they were not Levis) my wife kept telling me that they looked BAGGY. I received the 514 and they were so soft, and fit perfectly. I just love them and so does my wife. I just received my 2nd pair last week. Never again will I buy those baggy jeans.

These are great. I am 6' and a very slim 150 lbs. I've always been very comfortable in 501s but never realized how baggy they are. These look sharp and are still comfortable. A perfect look between being dressed up and street casual.
