Clarify Fabric weight

Great jeans hope you guys in Levi write fabric weight shuttle loom produce around 15 oz after one wash, but it is adjustable so it is better to write so the buyer knows before buying, It's better also to help customers in sizing, as Japanese denim shrinks 2 inches in length from my experience

Collectible Jeans

The 12oz selvedge denim that you must have in your wardrobe. I always bought a straight cut jeans but for this time I’d like to change for something different. So this jeans is loose cut and it is comfortable to wear. Matched nicely with pair of skateboarding sneakers or leather boots.

True to size in regards to the waist line. The length is a little bit longer but I hope they will shorten up after the first wash.Otherwise good quality of denim and everything else.
I would recommend this model at any time.

STF shrink to fit

These are STF shrink to fit,they will shrink after first wash,about 1 inch waist and 2 inches inseam shrinkage for me.Buy accordingly.I purchased 32 waist and 32 length and ended up after hot water soak with 31 waist and 30 inseam.Perfect fit for me now.

Beautiful Japanese Denim, But Size Up!

These are my first pair of Japanese selvage denim, and I’m very happy to finally add a pair to my collection. The quality is excellent, and the deep, rich blue color looks incredible.
Just be aware that these run extremely small compared to typical Levi’s jeans. I actually had to reorder them three different times to get the right size. The website also didn’t clearly advertise them as shrink-to-fit, so the sizing and expected shrinkage caught me off guard.
Overall, I’m very happy with them and can’t wait to watch them fade and age beautifully over time.

Had already ripped the tag off & didn’t notice both cuffs were already frayed, and there was a tear by the pocket. The denim is soft & comfortable right away, should get even better with age

Very nice Jeans, but buy with caution.

I have to agree with one of the other reviews here. These have come with a label stating that these are shrink-to-fit and that a larger size will be required. Whether this proves to be accurate or not I will have to see. Also there is no red thread running through the edge as shown in the pictures.
Also... They are quite long, I have many pairs of Levi jeans with 34" leg, they do vary and these are one of the longest.
All that said, they are a lovely jean and hopefully will still fit once washed. I have not given 5 stars due to the poor description and the uncertainty surrounding washing and shrinkage. I will edit this once I have washed them and let you know.

Just a basic look

When I bought this pair of jeans, I didn’t kept in mind that Japanese denim is known for the quality of the indigo dye process. You can feel the quality is perfect but you look like wearing just a basic 501 with a blue tab. After reflection, it was totally irrational to buy a light wash Japanese denim.

Doesnt feel like a Selvedge Denim

Poor quality and the denim is too soft , it is hard to cuff and its too long for 32 inseam. Not happy with the purchase unfortunately I cant return it as it was final sale. Not worth $200 plus for a Japanese made denim. I have other Japanese denim from levis and other brands which are way better in quality than this.

Tough review this one. The product description and the item itself are not the same thing, the colour on the website is totally different too.
If you have any experience buying raw selvedge denim, that’s not what these are. Also, I specifically asked customer service if they were shrink-to-fit and was assured they’re not. However they came with a big label on them that says shrink-to-fit.
They look like really nice jeans, but they’re just not as described, so unfortunately I sent them back. Better product description and labels are required here, so be wary before buying.

Shrink to fit or not?

I'd recently purchased a pair of 1980s Made and Crafted STF 501s and thought they were are great fit so thought I'd try these. They aren't advertised as shrink to fit on the website but I'd seen elsewhere that they were. They arrived and according to the label they were STF, advising to size up accordingly, which I had. I soaked them twice in the bath expecting them to shrink to the perfect size. They didn't. They shrank by 1 cm in the waist and 1 cm in the length. I'm now having to get them hemmed but they are still going to too big overall. Disappointing.

Il tessuto è molto bello, ma ci sono due problemi: nella descrizione sul sito non si specifica che è un tessuto non lavato (shrink-to-fit) come per altri modelli; ragione per cui è necessario prendere due taglie in più perché al primo lavaggio ritirerà.
Avendo il sospetto prima di acquistare avevo chiamato il servizio clienti che mi aveva risposto che non avevano evidenze che fosse un capo shrink-to-fit!
Inoltre le fotografie sul sito mostrano un pantalone cimosato con il classico filo rosso sul bordo bianco.
Il modello che mi è arrivato è privo del filo rosso che invece è ben presente in foto e che contraddistingue tutti i modelli pregiati Levi's
