Good fit and well made. My only complaint is the color. I ordered another pair of a different type and it is much darker than this pair. Having had black jeans in the past that faded to gray I am concerned this pair will look less black more quickly.

Nice jean and yes they are selvedge denim but not in the same class as true raw denim from some of the smaller companies. Great if you can get them on sale but if you are going to spend $128.00 for selvedge denim, add another $50.00 and get elevate your game.

I really like the way these fit and they are no doubt comfortable but, the fabric weight just isn't there. 4 way stretch. I just don't see these having any real cool fading aspects but, we shall see.

Unlike many more boutique selvedge brands, these jeans are ready to wear out of the box, made with a bit of stretch and feel comfortable and broken-in from day one. Could really have done without the fading and whiskering, but it seems like it's getting harder and harder to find jeans that don't have some degree of that. Good quality, no issues in that department. A no-stretch no-whisker dark indigo version of these would get 5 stars from me and be worth every penny.

Le jean Levi's 511 Slim est impeccable, sa taille ainsi que sa longueur sont corrects, le denium est de très bonne qualité. Je suis satisfait de cet achat. J'aurais aimé que les teinte et texture soient plus proches d'un dark wash indigo, comme on en trouve sur les gammes 501 et 512 (Tapered).

Nice Selvedge jeans. Pre-washed for softrness. Love the dark indigo color. I only wish the fabric was a bit more heavier. Brought 30 x 30. True to size. Levis x Kaihara is great!

Unfortunatelly they run long, my usual size 32 inch leg is about an inch too long. Shame they don't do 31 length. I had to return it.

Preface by saying. Whatever other reviews say, I should have sized down to be honest. The sizing chart on this page for this particular pair is accurate; I wear a size 34 in most brands (including Levi's, usually) because my waist is basically exactly 36.5" around, and the size 36 jeans' waistband measures exactly 18.25" across, as listed. However, two factors: these aren't a particularly thick/heavy fabric weight unlike real 100% cotton selvedge denim, and they have the tencel/lycra stretch component to them. The thinness and the stretchiness mean that, while they do fit on my waist *just so* when brand new/freshly washed, after a few wears the waistband stretches out and they start falling down without a belt. This is fine, but for a slim jean it's not ideal. Ditto what other reviewers have said about the fit weirdness; these don't fit particularly slim down the leg, even compared to my other pairs of 511's, and the light weight/lack of rigidity to the fabric means that they don't hang cleanly like a well-cut pair of straight jeans either. I bought these during a sale, so I'm still pleased enough with what I got, but I don't think I would have been happy paying full price for a thin, awkward-fitting synthetic-blend pair of jeans being advertised as "selvedge" when that word comes with a connotation of having, I dunno, higher quality detailing.

As you expect from Levis, the fit and quality are excellent. However, the colour is nothing like the rich black shown in the pictures on the website. The colour was more of a faded charcoal, so unfortunately I had to return them.

Beautiful pair of jeans- like only Levi’s knows how! Selvedge and the “Big E” make them stand out; however, even with 1% elastane they are stretchy and for that reason I sized down an inch in the waist. Levi’s- please listen to us- we want, no crave, raw denim. Elastic, spandex, elastane doesn’t really belong in traditional selvedge jeans. Please start making product, slim fitting like the 511’s, in 100% cotton!

The fabric is too thin and too stretchy. Otherwise the jeans seem fine. I wish Levi's would bring back a sensibly priced proper 100% cotton denim - the kind you'd wash in hot water and last for 10 years - for the purists among us.

Color is quite different from the pictures. The whiskers (fades on thighs) are almost inexistent in reality, and colortune is more grayish than blueish. They also lose their shape after very little wear and become very loose. So I'm not happy with the quality either.

After wearing for a few hours they end up a baggy mess, went up a size as the usual size were too small, these fitted well in shop and when you first put them on, but after a while they’re awful.Worst 511’s I’ve purchased for years.

I’m old school & have been rocking Levi jeans since the 60’s.Added pair of 511 selvedge demin to my collection. I recommend these comfortable high quality jeans.

Don't be fooled by these being "selvedge." They are just as paper thin as all the other less expensive jeans. They do run small. I normally wear a 31/30 so I got a 31/30 and a 32/30 to be safe. Both fit nearly identically. They're really tight. They also aren't as slim as regular 511s. These are really tight in the waist but looser around the legs. They almost look like boot cut at the bottoms. They don't reflect what they look like in the photos. Levis quality control. is non-existent.

One leg opening was wider than the other so I had to return. Also I really don’t like all this Lycra denim that Levi’s have adopted, looks and feel cheap and I expect not very durable. Please, please bring back proper denim.

I got them on final sale and made a mistake. Go up two sizes if you can or simply try in store if there are any around you with this pair. I couldn’t even get them on.
