Introducing Levi’s® More than Medals – a campaign celebrating authentic self-expression, inspired by the cultures of skateboarding and BMX. Featuring the original and understated style of Zion Wright and Hannah Roberts, we celebrate the youth from these sub-cultures who live a shared experience of creativity and athletic spirit.

WE RIDE TOGETHER

What they have to say, might be more important than how high they’ll go. With spirits that can’t be broken, even if the crowd never shows. They’ll still be out here. Because this means more. #MoreThanMedals

ZION WRIGHT

Zion Wright is known for his all-terrain abilities on his board, larger than life attitude, and infectious charm. Off the board, his personality attracts everyone that surrounds him. At the same time, his mind-blowing video parts speak for themselves, and his versatility in both park and street courses have solidified him as a constant contest threat. Zion received his first skateboard at the age of 4 and entered his first contest only four years later. At only 15, he snagged two 1st place podiums in a single year. With a new career blossoming, Zion moved to California in 2015 to be closer to the heart of skateboarding and pursue his dreams of becoming pro.

In 2016, less than a year later, Zion took home 1st in the Phoenix AM, followed by 3rd at Tampa Am, and three more podium finishes shortly followed. Less than a year later, in 2017, Zion accomplished one of his dreams; Real Skateboards turned him pro. In 2018, his momentum continued with multiple 1st place finishes and many impressive performances in video parts, like “REAL Part,” which earned him a spot in Street League. Zion continues to release some of the best video parts in the game. He is dedicated to taking his skills to the next level. “I’m constantly learning new tricks,” he says. “The challenge is fun for me; you’re going through your ups and downs until you get it, the trick breaks you. But that’s what I like about trying something new.”

HANNAH ROBERTS

Hannah began riding BMX at age 9. She got into BMX Freestyle because of her cousin, Brett Banasiewicz, who was one of the top riders in the United States. In 2011, Banasiewicz opened the Kitchen BMX and Skatepark in his hometown of South Bend, which is about a half-hour drive from Roberts’ home. She entered her first BMX competition when she was 12.

In 2017 at age 17, Hannah became the first-ever BMX Freestyle World Champion at the inaugural UCI World Championships in Chengdu, China. She placed third in 2018 and won the World Championship title again in 2019 where she became the first female ever to land a 360-Tailwhip in competition.

Hannah had a perfect 2019 World Cup season winning every single World Cup to claim the series title, and went on to win the Pan Am Championships and National Championships that same season.

BMX

“BMX was definitely a way for me to connect with other kids, outside of the normal sports. But it was more like connecting with myself from being able to express myself in different ways.” – Hannah Roberts
