After 40 decades I still love Lev'i's whether shrink-to -fit or prewashed. I'll wear these 501's for 2 weeks before washing them. They still fit me like it was yesterday. I highly recommend these 501's especially when you catch on sale.

Being my first year not physically attending Black Friday due to the fact I now live in rural Alaska, I decided the next best thing is shop on line. IK it was not as fun %26 exciting BUT it is what it is now. Scrolling through Walmarts BF ads %26 what do I see.....Levis! %26 on sale for that matter. I bought these Levi 501's recently.
The last pair I had were bought for me by my mother in 1968.
Like the heastrong youth that I was I wore them home from the shop in the middle of Summer without them having been washed. We walked about 2 miles in searing heat and by the time we arrived I was chafed raw and had blue legs.
But I also had my first pair of Levi's.
I have always been a "Big" bloke and for most of my life I couldn't fit into Levi's as all I could find were a max of 38" waist.
So I resorted to "other" brands but was always envious of my friends who could wear their Levi's.
Then, a few weeks ago I happened upon the Levi's website and behold - Large Sizes !!!!!
I pondered investing in a pair as prodcut sizing is often not related to real world fitting.
But what the heck. They were Levi's.
So, biting the bullet, I purchased the jeans and eagerly awaited my shipment.
I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly they arrived and even more pleased when I tried them on and found that they fitted perfectly.
Now, here I am 55 years later and once again wearing Levi's 501 jeans.

Back then, a 14-year old actually sat in a bathtub for 3 hours in le original 'shrink-to-fit' jeans.....it was cool. And cold after about 30 minutes. I've not worn anything else since, except for a period in the late 80's thru early 90's when I was, erm...at parties that lasted for days in the country side in the UK. As an Architect, I can get away with wearing black - non-faded - 501's, polished Chelsea boots and a blazer. I buy them two at a time, and use the ones with the black buttons for the really important Clients.
I buy the Big 'n' Tall series b/c I like the extra stretch - especially two decades ago when my dancing was, well 'nuff said.
In all truth, photos, videos, all are pointless if you don't know what Levi's 501's are. That I've worn then coming on about 40 years - as a teenager, a young clubber in the 80's - founding member of MOS in London - to Client presentation in Venecia, Hong Kong - IS TESTIMONIAL ENOUGH.
PERIOD.

It's been 30 years sences I put on a pair of 501 botton fly jeans. They fit and feel great. There is no other brand of jeans that come close. Ron.

I've been wearing 501s for almost 4 decades. They fit better, last longer and look better than anything else out there. My most recent purchase had the bottom of the pockets sewn incorrectly with long strings inside but that was easily fixed with Scissors. Probably a fluke since my 5 pairs of 559s didn't have this problem. Still, these are my go-to jeans for looking good on the weekend. I recommend them for everyone.
