Plenty of room in the waist for men that have a paunch, & not a six pack. My husband loves them and wears them to relax around the house, as well as to go out for a casual dinner or boat ride.

Fiance is 6'2, 210 lbs. Bought him a size 36 in the color Broomstick. These are his favorite style of shorts from Levis, 569 loose-fit. He has thick thighs, these really fit well in that area. The pockets are my absolute FAVORITE! They are a cute, pastel pink with the green tropical leaves. So cute! I chose these jeans for him to wear to Coachella! So far I've bought him four other colors in these shorts.

I bought the darkest blue. With the Levis signature orange and yellow stitch work. I bought my regular size. The more washed color I had to get a size larger. Best shorts by far for me fit wise. I m not into the cut off fitted shorts yet.
