Levi's® Made & Crafted® 551™ Z Authentic Straight pays tribute to our first-ever pre-shrunk jeans. True to the original, it features stitches one inch away from the seams and a wider J-stitch. Stacking at hem and a distinct “anti-fit” — a slightly looser cut that stands in opposition to slimmer and skinnier styles — make this vintage-inspired jean perfect for the skatepark. It features selvedge denim from the renowned Kaihara Mill, which is known for its time-honored artisanal techniques and superior craftsmanship. Sponging and bleach give this pair that much sought-after faded look.

Beware non selvedge

The pair I received were 100% organic cotton, but were not selvedge. They don't feel soft like my other Levi's selvedge and also had a regular modern factory denim edge, not a self edge. The tags were correct so I don't know if perhaps other washes are selvedge, but this one was not. Levi's did issue a refund, but now I've got to go find other pants still as I was really looking for another selvedge pair. I've got enough regular pairs for wear in rough/rugged situations and was looking for another nice soft selvedge pair for casual situations.
