About this Style

We’ve come together with BEAMS, the beloved Japanese clothing company, on another special collection. Paying tribute to Levi’s® heritage with bold, oversized pieces derived from classic styles and washes, this Super Wide V2 collection finds inspiration in subtle, simple and elegant garments from 1944.


Inspired by 501® jeans from 1944, we crafted these Super Wide V2 jeans with heavyweight 16 oz. orange tick selvedge denim and gave them a custom super wide leather back patch and a BEAMS exclusive tab.

Great pair of jeans, fabric weight and feel is just right and feels like the old Levis. Beams have really considered the fit and finish, nice and relaxed, looks just right.

1944 Levi's 501 inspired cut in an authentic wash and a great drape, also due to its above average weight denim. Button fly and self edge are a given. The cut is similar to the Lee Asher, yet half an inch wider, all the way. And with a better - slightly tighter, more sexy fit around the hip area. Go for it !

Gut aber zu einem hohen Preis

Der Stoff ist schwer und fühlt sich gut an. Der Schnitt ist sehr weit, am Bund aber passend für die angegebene Grösse. Die aufgedruckte Naht auf den Gesässtaschen finde ich für den Preis etwas billig, zumal sich die aufgedruckten Naht-Imitate schon ablösen. Deshalb gibt es keine fünf Sterne. Für den aufgerufenen Preis geht so was nicht. Das Teil als Ganzes finde ich aber trotzdem cool.
