Overall these jeans are really nice neither kid has ripped holes in the knees. The only thing I didn’t like is the size 16 I bought didn’t have the elastic band on the inside. They did have it in the size 8 I bought.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son can be pretty hard on his clothes, but these seem to have held up pretty well. I wasn't sure if a slim fit would hinder his activity and be too tight, but he's still pretty active in them with no issues.

Not a bad pair of jeans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jeans are a fine art with my son. They have to have a soft feel not to tight and fit well in the waist. These overall were pretty good. They are not super soft but still pretty soft for denim. My son thought they felt thin which is good for spring and cooler nights. As far as leg tightness again they were pretty good. My son thought they might be a little tighter then he would like (but we both agree they will stretch so that will work). He usually feels more stretchy I think and these don't have as much give as other pairs he wears. Although he said that again it will most likely just take some breaking in. Our final test the waist. These do not have an adjustable waist with makes it a little harder for him to fit. Even though there was not a waist they were not overally wide and we were able to secure with a belt without it looking frumpy. Overall he liked the jeans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received a size 12 (26"x26"). Had my 11- and 13-year old boys try on the same pair. Love the way it looks on the legs. For a "slim" pair, I thought the waist was a tiny bit loose, but nothing a belt can't fix! I knocked off one star because it hit both my boys at the ankle or slightly above (they are 5'2" and 5'3"). Two inches or so longer and we would have LOVED them!

Slim Fit is nice, but Length seems short

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 16 year old is really skinny, so finding jeans that fit him correctly is hard. These jeans fit him great in the waist and in the legs, but they seem to be an inch or so shorter than other jeans he's worn in the past. Mind you, they are still long enough to not look like high water pants, but I doubt he'll be able to wear these much longer. I would still recommend these for kids who are on the skinny side and because the material they are made out of is nice and soft (my son really likes that).

They're not stiff like 100% cotton jeans can sometimes be and they seem to be very comfortable. These performance jeans seem a little more roomy than regular 511 slim jeans, which my son liked because he's a bit on the stocky side.

Big Boys 511 Slim Fit Eco Performance Jeans. Purchase as gift for 11-Year Old as the brand label said SLIM. The Jeans are still too wide in the waist for the lad. More a fit for regular size boys.

Why do these say slim, all boys are not (large) if I choose slim, I choose slim for a reason, when you get them look inside they say regular, that is what they are, I can pull these up my thighs and I. Not thin. Can’t find slim jean for boys, but plenty for MEN….

Usually my son and I both love these, he’s been wearing them for about four years.now, both the jeans and the sueded twill. They’ve always been consistent in fit and length.. Sz 8, 10, 12 . But now Sz 14, the jeans were good but the twill for school (both colors) are too short. Without the adjustable waist we can’t go any bigger. Don’t know what happened.. Sad because we loved these.

Holy cow, I bought these for my son. He is rather thin so I bought the size 18. First off let me just say that trying to find 18slim is virtually impossible but we figured that just a regular 18 would be close enough. The size chart shows them at 29x29 but when we got them they were huge. The tag on the pants says 29x29 but it wasn’t even in the ball park. I let my grown son try them on. He normally wears a 30x34. And these pants were even to long and big in the waist for him. We will be sending both pair back.

My son did not care for how they felt on his skin. I will not buy this brand any more if I can't find them without the stretch material. These jeans just don't last, especially with young rambunctious boy's.

Smelled like chemicals. Washed 3 times and soaked 2x in baking soda and separately soaked in vinegar to remove smell but still a little noticeable. Love Levi's, they fit great, but won't buy again until Levi's stops putting formaldehyde on jeans.

New eco and performance 511s are low quality

I have been wearing 511 slim cut regular jeans for many years. All of the sudden, the plain ones are gone and only eco and performance are available. I don’t want elastic and buttons inside my waistband. Besides that, the material is VERY thin and feels very low quality. Additionally the size 14 is much larger than it used to be. Be very, very careful!

I used to buy 511 16R, which was 28 waist and 28 length, but now all 16R sizes are 28 waist and 30 length, which is way too long. It's hard now to find this size in Levi's and I am sad because I like the style and colors, but now have to switch to another brand.
