I bought this sweatshirt as a gift and I purchased a medium. The person this sweatshirt is for is shorter than the model but the sweatshirt is very short in the torso and in the sleeves. I'm only 5'5 and the sleeves are short on me. I would definitely size up if you purchase this item.
