I feel that the Ribcage Straight Ankle jeans were very loose in all the wrong places. They had no shape to them and weren't flattering at all. I do really love the way they feel, very soft.

Size short is still too long

I bought my size in a size short but just as usually happens, because I am in a big size, that means the length, even on a size “short”, is too long, and I chose my normal waist size and they were way too small.

We try to make a wide variety of fits for everyone — and we definitely recommend looking through our Men’s Jeans Guide and Women’s Jeans Guide to get all of the information you need about each one. Often, we intentionally construct our jeans to be oversized, cropped or slimmer, even within a given size. And sometimes, something as small as a change in fabric treatment, finishing, or composition can affect the way a pair of jeans fits. Not for curvy people

I have ~52” hips, 40” waist, im 5’4”, 250 lbs, i generally wear a size 18-20, i purchased a 20M. These fit fine but there was gapping around the waist and the pant legs were so wide they kinda looked like bootcut jeans that were slightly too short. I would Not recommend these for those with similar measurements and hip to waist ratios.

When Good Jeans Smell BAD

I'm entering a jean phase so I purchased a nice variety of Levi jeans. These were by far my favorite color- a rich blue wash that wasn't navy-and style. The length of the pant make them casual and not too intimidating if you have short legs. Also, because of the series of buttons in place of a zipper I didn't run into the problem that most I often do where my big belly pushes the zipper down (often at the most embarrassing time) so that was nice as well. Why then am I giving it one star? The smell of them! If you know, you KNOW (and if you don't, you're lucky) the dreaded Weird Jean Smell. Something of formaldehyde and sulfur and poop. It's HORRENDOUS! I tried letting them air out for a day: No luck. Washing them in cold water in a washing machine: No (also, this just made it worse somehow). Freezing them overnight: Nada. Soaking them in diluted vinegar: Not even a bit of help. Spraying them down with vodka: Nope. Finally (FINALLY) I tried leaving them overnight in lavender-scented castile soap and that took away 95% if the smell the other 5% is still around the ankles, waist band, and button region where the fabric is the thickest. Trying to get these jeans to a wearable condition has been a weeklong pain in the butt....and they're still not great. As nice as the jeans are, I can't go out smelling of poop and formaldehyde and have a confident and productive day! So, one star... zero if I could.
