About this Style

In 1934, we introduced the first five-pocket jean specially built for women: the 701®. Made famous by a premiere American fashion magazine of the time, the 701® had a distinct high rise and a curved fit. This recreation of the 1950s 701® features the same high rise, a relaxed fit and is finished with a cloth Levi's® back patch.


Today, we reproduced these glossy magazine-approved 1950s 701 jeans stitch-for-stitch using premium selvedge denim.

I want to wear these every day. The denim is so soft, and while it's thin it still feels substantial. They are really high waisted but I love that look, and just feel like a classic. I hesitated as they are spendy but these are worth it. I would say TTS, i am a 29 in other levis and a 29 in these

Das Material ist ein leichter Jeansstoff. Die Farbe ist mega schön. Ich trage sonst bei den Modellen 501 und 501 Curve 26x30. Diese Größe war bei dem Modell zu klein für mich. Ein Umtausch war kein Problem und super klasse fand ich, dass ich direkt auf dem Rücksendeformular die nächst größere Größe der Jeans bestellen konnte.

Gorgeous Denim in Indigo Blue!

These jeans are must for any lover of denim. The sheen on the dark indigo gives a very high end look and the cut is beautiful for an hourglass shape. I normally wear a 27 on any non stretch Levi jeans buy perhaps because these are so very high waisted I had to order a 28. DEFINITELY size up even if you don't in the Japanese blue tabs or the 90s Selvidge. These are worth the price, they are some of the most beautiful jeans I own!

These jeans are very flattering with a high waist. I went for my usual size 27 and they fit me perfectly. The zipper is a bit stiff and I wasn't sure if it would break, but so far it's ok, so I'm hoping it'll settle the more I wear them. I do love the 1950's style of these jeans and I am happy with my purchase.

My Forever Jeans

I was worried and hesitant about the 701s but I made sure to do good research before I bought my pair. Amazing pair of jeans. Great quality and fit! Plus its a classic! It’s thr Marilyn Monroe jeans. My first LVC. I usually wear a size 29 in 501s etc, but am between sizes 29 and 30z for this I followed other reviewd and sized up 1, and got a 30. It fit me perfectly. I might buy another pair but need to save up first. I love the high waist and how it flatters my legs.You cuff the ends to complete the classic look. I dont care about trends anymore. This is a Keeper for Life.

Best pair of jeans I have ever owned. Lightweight denim, hugs my waist for an emphasis on curves, fashion forward straight legs, and selvedge on the turned up cuff looks great. I own three pairs. Two in size 25 and one in size 26 for winter when I wear long johns for warmth. I am 5’3’ and 100 lbs.
