About this Style
In 1934, we introduced the first five-pocket jean specially built for women: the 701®. Made famous by a premiere American fashion magazine of the time, the 701® had a distinct high rise and a curved fit. This recreation of the 1950s 701® features the same high rise, a relaxed fit and is finished with a cloth Levi's® back patch.
Today, we reproduced these glossy magazine-approved 1950s 701 jeans stitch-for-stitch using premium selvedge denim.

These pants, more than the typical jeans that you can think of, are more like slacks that are traditional jeans... if you can understand that. I'm saying this because the quality of the fabric and craftsmanship is obvious.
The fabric is not as thick and stiff as other jeans that are made with Japanese fabric (such as the boyfriend jeans), but it is not light.
As someone mentioned, you can not show off the fact that these are selvedge jeans because of the dyeing material.
Would I buy them again in a different color? Absolutely--if I can get a good discount.

The cut of the jeans are just great. I'm 5'2 so it's a little long. There is no transfer of color so far too!

I love them! I love how they fit around my waist and how they don't get loose over time. Its nice and snug around my waist. They're the perfect fit around my waist and hips. Bought both black and blue. They're great, hidden rivet detail, talon zippers. Quality of the blue seem just a little nicer. Wish the black were the same weight of denim as the blue (they're lighter, softer). Selvedge on black not obvious due to overdye. I could have sized down (both) for a tighter fit but all levis seem to be running big these days.

Great pair of jeans

I bought both in black and dark denim. I usually wear a 25 and they fit perfect around the waist, and a little tight around thighs and hip(I'm a pear-shape). Hopefully it breaks in as I wear it. Overall, my favorite pairs of jeans from Levis and they make your legs look super long!!

Nice quality but too wide in the leg and too long.

These are well made, strong jeans, and I liked the colour, but they were much too voluminous in the leg for me. They look a lot narrower in the photographs. They were also very long, given that I bought my normal leg length. I would have had to shorten them. I wanted to like them enough to keep, but they had to go back.
