Bought this for Christmas meal with work colleagues, looks great and many people have complimented on how nice the dress is. On quibble is the belt is poor quality and makes the dress look naff. Probably reason it's been reduced.

I love really like this denim dress and I also have suggestions about how it can be improved. First, all of the great things about this dress! The fabric is a gorgeous dusty black, which is what I was looking for. The cotton is immaculately soft. In terms of design there is a lot to love, especially the subtle western details that make the dress interesting but not over the top -- like, I don't need to look like a cowgirl, but I like a little bit of southwestern sparkle sometimes. So I love the classic moonstone snaps and the pointed front pockets. Speaking of pockets, there are two nice, deep ones in the skirt portion. Comfort is another thing to appreciate about this dress -- it feels great on the skin and is easy to wear. (Love it with roper boots.) The fit is fine as well. As for improvements, I did expect the fabric to be thicker to create a little more structure. I would prefer that in the skirt portion particularly. The areas where the fabric is doubled (cuffs, button band, collar) are the perfect thickness. My other suggestion is that the belt loops should be resized, as they are small -- so narrow that I only own one belt that fits through them. (This dress does come with a tie belt, but I prefer ones with buckles so I will probably never use the belt it came with.) A lot of people like to be able to swap in different belts to change up the look of a dress, and to me at least, this is not a skinny-belt sort of dress. And since western-style belts in particular are often a bit wide, I wish this dress had been made with belt loops to accommodate that. My complaints are minor, though, and this dress was a good purchase. I'll wear it often because it is utilitarian and cute.

This dress is gorgeous except the sizing is so very off. The small feels like large and, having bought it on a final sale, I can't even exchange it for a smaller size.
