Just got my order an hour ago. As I opened and checked my order, I've got to say -- IT. COMES. WITH. SELVEDGE. Honestly, I have doubts about the details of this type of jeans. Is it selvedge, or not selvedge? My basis is only the previous review photo by another buyer of this jeans. I felt a sense of relief after checking what type of denim it is. Now, for the fit. It is astonishing, perfectly perfect -- a chef's kiss. Mwah! I tend to have a larger thigh and this jeans silhouettes same as the regular 501 that I've used over the years. Basically, it feels like a regular 501, with a smaller leg opening just about half an inch compared to the regular 501s. The leg fit is not too slim, not too skinny, just perfect. How come I did not even bother to check this item on one of Levi's boutiques? Anyways, I'm so grateful and delighted with my purchase. Thank you so much, Levi's PH!

Unpopular opinion but this is better than the 502 Made in Japan pair i have bought together with these! These 501 ST's fit better than the 511 or 512 in my opinion. Just make sure to always buy 100% cotton and they will hold their form and size for a life time!

The pants are perfect, the best pants I've ever owned. Excellent fit, not wide or narrow, true to size. Nice thick fabric.

Levis jeans are well made and look good! I bought these for my grandson who is tall and needs the slim fit. I am very pleased with my purchase and the deal I got on the jeans.

These jeans have quickly become my favorite jeans. Please bring them back in stock. The fit is perfect and true to size. The style is modern yet classic with the original 501 feel and slightly tapered leg for today’s look. They are perfectly between wide leg and skinny. I highly recommend these jeans!

Great fit. Nice denim. Excellent design choices. Yellow accent stitching, a little selvedge at the inner fifth pocket, big E. Not Cone Mill but certainly nice selvedge. Zero regrets, and some compliments.

I have essentially only worn 501 shrink to fits for the last 30+ years. I started tapering them myself about ten years ago. I would buy them 4 at a time and burn them out within a year while working in my metal fab shop. Now from my desk job, I am not blowing through jeans like I used to, so these tapered selvedge jeans are exactly what I was looking for. Same no frills 501 that fit well with a higher quality denim. Dig it!

These are absolutely fantastic jeans, and blow away every offering Levi's currently has. STF 501s are great, but not selvedge. Material and stitching/construction are top-notch, pockets are deeper (including watch/change/key pocket) like US-made Levi's of old, and the denim appears to be conforming to my body after some judicious application of misted water. Not anywhere near as much as STFs, but I expect the material to shrink and stretch a little over time. The waterless thing, whatever it is, seems to make these a little closer to raw denim, but without the potential pitfall of excessive shrinkage. They are Sanforized, but I suspect there is still some room to move. Ordered a second pair an inch smaller in the waist in case my efforts to put on weight are unsuccessful.
