About this Style
Our 551™ Z Authentic Straight pays tribute to our first-ever pre-shrunk jeans. True to the original, they feature signature stitching one inch away from the seams and a wider J-stitch at the fly. Stacking at the hem and a distinct “anti-fit”—a slightly looser cut that stands in opposition to slimmer and skinnier styles in the seat—make these vintage-inspired jeans the perfect pair for the skatepark. Think of these as the holy grail of thrift store finds, minus the hunt.

Zip makes it so easy to wear Levi’s again

I have looked for Levi’s with a zip for ages. Because I’ve got arthritis in both my thumbs I couldn’t do the button flies up but the zip is easy.

These are hands down the best product I have purchased from Levi’s I’m years. Best fitting jeans I believe I’ve ever purchased, and the material is perfect as well, with great texture and an incredibly rich color in person. High rise, fitted through the thighs, relaxed and straight from the knee down. These are it: if you’ve been searching for the holy grail of vintage fit jeans, you found them. Even better than 501’s. I feel like I walked out of an AC/DC concert half a century ago. Size wise, I wear a 33 in most jeans with some stretch, a 34 in carhartt pants, a 32 in 541’s, and a 34 in 501’s. I got these in a 34 and it’s a perfect fit. I’m about to order a couple more pairs even. Levi’s, please never stop making these. This is such a great sign of what Levi’s future looks like and is a huge step in the right direction from recent years. Bravo

Comfortable and better than expected

I had received these about 10 days ago.I was skeptical given the hemp cotton mix as far as the comfort and durability. So far they are extremely comfortable and fit well they seem extremely durable. I only use Levi’s jeans because they are the only brand that fit well. These are far beyond expectations and although a bit expensive compared to the regular jeans I purchase I would absolutely buy another pair when finances allow

[Employee of levis] Have big thighs and looking for more room? The 551-Z are perfect for you! It gives that same fit as the 501 only with a little more room in the thigh area! Let's not mention the fact that you actually do get a zipper instead of the button fly. These have no stretch and I was able to fit into my actual size. I tried both 29-30. While the 29 was very snug. The 30 was perfect for me. Overall great jeans. Comfortable. And stylish. The boot boogie wash is a nice light blue/slightly white finish that'll elevate the style you're going for.

[Employee of levis] I love how these jeans fit! They take me back to the 90's! This pair is fitted around the thigh area but they do loosen around the knee down. For someone short like myself, I love how they bunch up at the bottom with the 30" inseam. I would definitely recommend this product! If you're a lady and want to try on this product, I recommend going one size up!

[Employee of levis] I love that it's a high-waisted jean. Stretchy fabric that still feels like real denim. Roomy straight leg, goes well with a tshirt and sneakers. Classic 90s look. Good choice if you want a dad style jean without it looking like an actual dad jean.

[Employee of levis] These are the 551z Authentic Straight in Hula Hopper dark wash. They are great alternative to the classic 501 original, with slightly more room in the thigh. These 551z are a favorite for a fall style, with light weight & soft fabric. These come with pre-made distressing & repairs which add a little uniqueness to them. I style it with a solid tee, either a chunky or slim shoe, and the outfit is complete.

Ordered these a few weeks ago after searching for a pair of straight leg, loose fitting jeans. The material has a nice durable feel to it but also feels nice and soft to the touch. The fit was exactly what I was looking for. They have a casual, “skater”, look to them. I wear them cropped with a cuff and paired with a flannel or a hoodie. Comfy enough to lounge around the house and stylish enough to go just about anywhere. I usually buy my jeans in a 32, these feel slightly roomy at the waist.

A classic anti-fit pair it looks and feels like an LVC 501 1955 Vintage with a zipper. Made with sturdy denim with a mix of hemp. Loved the loose cut, the roomier silhouette, the chains stitched hem, and the leather patch. Not a fan of stacked hem I prefer to wear it rolled up. #sweepstakesreview

Great fit, great denim, perfect wash--BUT, they have very fake looking whiskering around the fly (more evident IRL the in the pictures). Please stop with the 2007 fake stuff! Just stonewashed denim is FINE.

Clearly I received factory seconds, which is shocking for a "Premium" product. I've worn the same size for the past 15 years (34) and these jeans don't come close to buttoning. Over an 1 1/2" off with the button! Now I have to pay to have them altered.

One of my favourite pairs of levis before they started tearing, very comfortable and cool fit but after a couple months of normal wear they’ve started to tear around my crotch :(
