About this Style

Our 551™ Z Authentic Straight pays tribute to our first-ever pre-shrunk jeans. True to the original, they feature signature stitching one inch away from the seams and a wider J-stitch at the fly. Stacking at the hem and a distinct “anti-fit”—a slightly looser cut that stands in opposition to slimmer and skinnier styles in the seat—make these vintage-inspired jeans the perfect pair for the skatepark. Think of these as the holy grail of thrift store finds, minus the hunt.

Originally, I purchase a size 32/30 (my usual, though i need to get every pair of pants hemmed as i am 5 ft 9) and the pair ended up being way too small. Too small on the waist, to slender in the thigh section. I returned them and ordered a size 33/30 and they fit perfectly at the waist and feature the exact leg opening in the thigh and calf: I only wish I was able to buy this model of Jean when they were featured in that other mid-blue color.

I genuinely hate reading these ignorant reviews when you can clearly tell that the jeans in the photo are distressed and have little paint marks on them. I personally like the style and bought them for that exact reason, great quality denim and the fit is perfect for a more athletic build. My only gripe is that the denim is much darker than the one pictured and is more of a medium wash than a light like pictured.

Softest and most comfortable premium levi’s jeans.

The title says it all. These 551z’s are truly premium and soft, noticeable since the day they arrived. The big cuts are executes perfect, and the repairing on the back side receives so many compliments as if I did the repair work myself. These jeans have a good mix of cool and casual, and are perfect to add your own sense of style to. Bigger fellas should not be afraid of these non-stretch jeans as they are very roomy and generous. My most comfortable pair of non-stretch jeans to date.

This is my third pair of 551Z jeans -the straight ones with a longer rise. They all fit great. I took a chance on these 'gren' ones. They're better looking in the flesh. It's like a medium moss brown, they're pretty neutral so the color goes with a lot of different shirts. Wish Levis would come out with a nice dark version with just a rinse - no overdyes,

These jeans are soft to the touch and the fit is loose but not *too* loose. You could work in these, or sleep in them as pajamas. Best jeans I’ve owned!
