Levi’s® Vintage Clothing launches the 1966 "Japan" 501® jean. This version of the Levi’s® classic is made entirely from Japanese selvedge denim, and with every single archival detail—the back patch, the red tab, fabric tags, the packaging, even the stamping on the buttons—translated to Japanese.

We made 150 pairs in Japan and are offering them as a limited edition release to celebrate producing all of our historic 501® Shrink-to-Fit™ fabrics for Levi’s® Vintage Clothing in Japan. For the past 100 years, Cone Mills had previously supplied Levi’s® with these fabrics, and now the baton has officially been passed.
