Here at Levi’s®, we believe that what you wear and how you wear it is a means of self-expression. And backpacks are no exception. A creative and affordable way to personalize your backpack and stand out from the rest is with a custom hang tag. The best part? You probably have most of the materials you’ll need lying around the house.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Carabiner

Measuring tape

Metal rings

Needle & thread

Paracord

Rope

Scissors

Web belts

Sustainability is important to us, so we have a special place in our hearts for any DIY project that repurposes used favorites. With their simple style and durable construction, our webbed belts make for great pull tabs. If you don’t have a spare belt, you can make these hang tags with any webbed fabric or ribbon.

Another hang tag you can make at home is the paracord pull tab. Think summer camp friendship bracelets, but all grown up and for your backpack. You can make these with pretty much any braiding technique, but one of our favorites is the cobra weave, which you can learn to make with this easy-to-follow video.

These are just a couple of hang tags we’ve made, but the possibilities are endless. To share how you make your backpack uniquely yours, tag your Instagram photos with @levis and #LiveinLevis.
