About this Style
When Levi Strauss & Co. covered the back pocket rivets in 1937, everyone thought
that would solve the problem of rivets scratching their furniture when they sat
down. But those copper rivets were tougher than they looked—after a few years of
hard wear, they continued to break right through the denim, scratching things up
again.
By 1966, technology had caught up with history, and it was possible to bar tack
the 501® Jean’s back pockets, replacing the back pocket rivets. The text on the
pocket flasher indicates this change. This small change maintained the jean’s
notorious durability, while finally solving that decades-long furniture-scratching
issue. This particular style of 501® Jean—with bar tacks and a big “E” red Tab—
only existed from 1966 to 1971.
What does this mean for the 1966 501® Jean? It means someone who hitchhiked
their way to San Francisco in 1967 and bought a pair of 501® Jeans was
not only experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime event, but was wearing a unique pair
of jeans—a pair which would change again when the Summer of Love was just a
faded memory.

An excellent product.

I have several pairs of modern-day 501-s in different stages of fading (I always buy them raw and wash them first in the bathtub). I bought the 1966 501 mainly for nostalgic reasons (the original 1966 were the first pair of Levi's I ever had)but I also decided that I will only wear the Vintage Clothing version for special occasions as it is quite pricey. I therefore ordered them in my true size and they fit perfectly. I may have to wash them eventually but I will do it in cold water in the hope that they will not shrink too much.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Very Classic and Original Details
First of all, before washing these jeans, I didn't even imagine the one after washing. Accroding to product page and store staff, these would be shurink about 2" at waist and upto 4" for lenghth. Yes, that is ture. I recommend at least 1 or 2 size up depending on how you like the fit.
As my personal opinion, the fabric is very classic and color if these are very close to original one.
After wearing 4 months (5 to 6 times to wear a week even after coming back from work), color is becoming so vintage look.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Runs bigger than tag size

I bought a size 32 and it measures about 33.5 inches (16.75" across the waistband aligned straight)so buy your natural waist size and they'll shrink 2" after a hot soak or wash.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Don't Reply on the information on the website for this model

it recommend size up 1-2 for waist and 2 for the length, end up way too big for the waist and too long for the inseam . i am 6 ft tall and weight 165 lbs, my waist is 32 in other jean and inseam in between 32-34. this jean didn't shrink a lot after the the first hot soak. the recommendation is total wrong and inaccuracy. now i have a pair of huge jean sitting in my closet. i am really upset and wasted the money that i can spend on other brand of jean.
No, I do not recommend this product.
