Classic 501 Fit. I bought the size 31 as these always shrink a bit in the dryer. I purposely bought them to cut shorter to a 6” inseam. My favorite shorts for the last of Summer!

I've been wearing 501s for 3+ decades. Used to be able to grab my size off store shelves without trying them on, knowing they'd fit. For the last 10-15 years, their sizing varies widely, especially depending on what country they were made in. It doesn't help that they now have many different "weights" of denim, depending on the color. This actually applies to every style of pants/shorts sold. I have some size 34" waist that are perfect, some so loose I can pull them off without undoing a single button, and some that I can't even pull up - and if I can, there's a 2-3" gap between the button closures even meeting. Truly sad such an iconic brand has such horrible sizing quality control. I've read similar reviews for years - seems they don't care.

Purchased a pair of 501 shorts about 3 weeks before ordering these. Was so happy with the first pair I couldn't wait to receive this pair. when they arrived I thought there must be some kind of mistake. The tag said the right size but the actual size was no where near what it should have been. Like I said I ordered a different pair the same size less than 3 weeks prior and perfect fit. These are sized at least 1 to 2 sizes too small
