I asked for this as a gift for Christmas 2020 and I am so excited it's cold out so I can start wearing it again. This was exactly what I was looking for; something slightly oversized that also sort of tapered inward towards the bottom. Obviously, this coat is not 3 inches thick, so be reasonable with how warm you think it will keep you, but it definitely does the job. One thing to note: there are small greyish-pink lines throughout the pattern, but they are hardly noticeable, hence why they don't really show up in the online pictures. I hate the color pink but this does not bother me at all. I wouldn't say you NEED to size down, because the intention is for it to be reasonable oversized, which helps with leaving room for layering. However, if you want this to be more fitted, I suppose you could.

I bought this today and I love it- it is the perfect layering coat, it’s a nice weight and is warm without being bulky or itchy. But trust me- size WAY down!! I am a 200lb 5’6 woman who normally wears a L/XL shirt size and 12/14 jeans. In this coat, I got a size SMALL (that was all they had in store) and it still fits me very oversized and will button completely with plenty of room, even with a long sleeve shirt and a cardigan layered underneath. The sleeves are also the perfect length, and the coat is plenty long enough. I think my normal size would’ve looked comically oversized on me. Great coat, but size down 2-4 sizes.

Definitely go down a size, this coat is rather large but I love the fit. Real classy.

It is oversize, so buy small. Also, it is very comfy, warm and smart. I love it.

I bought a small, I am 5'6" 130lbs and its a touch too large, but it's oversized in style so I looks fine and pairs well with layering/ chunky sweaters. I like the coat a lot, would rec.
