Cool jacket

My husband loves this jacket that I bought him for Christmas because it's cool, comfy & warm. I love the sporty, varsity-style collar & cuffs, coupled with the boxy shape in an olive green color, giving it a military vibe. Whomever designed this at Levi's, good job & thank you!

Just Got It, Just Wore It: Sublime Goodness

It seems like I follow something of a drill here: cruise site, find something that groks my needs/wants, instantly buy if funds are there, wait for sale if they aren't. One confession here: There's a somewhat-similar item sold by a somewhat "higher-end" outfit (hey, no judgements here), for close to double the original price of this Deck Coat. Before this one went on sale, I hemmed and hawed over which one to get: both are tied on style points, but I was leaning a bit more towards the Deck Coat on account of its lining. Then I get wind of Levi's having a sale, and that clinched it.
That said, here's my take: substantial without *any* excess bulk–not sure how they pulled this off, but even with a Sherpa lining, the fit is pleasantly lean, feels like it's built to last, and seems easily layered. Style? Unique…and that's a word I try seriously hard not to throw around carelessly. Versatile? Yes: I anticipate wearing this in all but the nastiest-cold Winter conditions, and quite a bit in the so-called "shoulder seasons." And it'll go with a lot of stuff I wear. (NOTE: Levi's doesn't mention it for some reason, but there *is* an inside pocket…not an unimportant thing to me.) Wonderfully understated, with just the Levi's red tab discreetly on the left seam: for those who care to know, they'll see it. Highly recommended.
