I am so happy that I bought these jeans. Normal 501s are too wide for the city, and scream old man. These have a slim top and tapered leg, so maybe size up if you have larger legs. These are from a new ‘premium’ line, with higher quality denim, a Capital E tab, and huge Two Horse Patch. The standard 5 button fly pulls it together for a man who knows his Levi’s. I think all 501s should have the enlarged patch- let the world know you button your fly! The cut is perfect, and construction is much higher quality. I highly recommmend them to anyone who is a fan of Levi’s.

I anticipate that too few people are reading the reviews for this product before ordering so I'm writing a follow up review to my last one. As I stated in my earlier Review, PAY ATTENTION TO SIZING. This jean fits very snugly as it runs small. Consider up-sizing from your normal waist size. For example, if you normally wear a 36 inch waist as I do, purchase as 38 in this style. If you do, you will be rewarded with an absolutely beautiful jean that is a delight to wear. I have been wearing my 501T Jeans for weeks now and I love 'em. The look, the feel are incredible--everything you could possibly want in a slimmed down version of the famous Levi's 501 Jeans. Of course, I still love the original Levi's Shrink-To-Fit 501 Blue Jeans like no other, but the 501T makes for a wonderful change of pace and, to me anyway, achieve an outstanding retro look when worn with a 2-3 inch cuff turned up over a shiny pair of brown or burgundy penny mocs and white socks.

Having been a big fan of the 501 original and 501 CT so I am truly relieved the 501 T ticks all the requirements and allows me to continue with a product that I can wear with total confidence.

I bought these jeans about two weeks ago already bought another pair,there a great fit really comfortable,and look great too.

These are now one of my favorite pairs of jeans! I love the button fly as well as the stretch technologies implanted. Keep in mind I would go up a size in the waist as I had to send them back the first time because they were way too tight.

I’m a fan of the 501 skinny stretch and 501 CT, so I decided to try these. They look really good on and I really like the larger Levi’s red tab. Next time I will order a 31” waist though because they run smaller than other 501 skinny jeans that I own.

As everyone already knows, Levi's 501 Blue Jeans are simply legendary and the Original 100% Cotton 501 Shrink-To-Fit is my all time favorite. But the 501 CT is worth a try, in my opinion, for a change of pace and as an update on a classic favorite. The slimming effect is good looking and pleasing to wear but take care with respect to sizing: They are not quite so generous in the waist and hips as other Levi's products I have purchased in the past. If you normally wear a 36 waist as I do, consider up-sizing to a 38 in these jeans unless you like them very snug. And that is before washing. A couple of features worth noting are the magnified waistband patch and Red Tab device which are somewhat larger than on most other Levi's Jeans. I'm not so sure these represent a product enhancement or a worthwhile marketing strategy but the out-sized labeling at least is not so much larger as to be ostentatious or obnoxious. Those of us who have known and loved our Levi's Jeans for many years, however, may smile upon recognizing that the upper case letter "E" has been restored to the embroidered Red Tab sewn into the back pocket of these jeans. One may surmise, I suppose, that perhaps Levi's made the Red Tab larger just to highlight the fact. After all, the upper case "E" has been missing for a while. Anyway, I can't wait to wear these jeans to the office where I work. We'll see if anyone else notices the change.

The fit is perfect. Leg opening good. Like that the rise isn't as low as the 511's. Sit closer to waist, but not overly big. Just enough room, slim but not too slim. Back pockets are not overly huge and long like the 512's and not as tiny as the 511's. The downsides are the huge red tab like mentioned and the huge brown almost paper like back patch that sits under your belt. I just removed both with a seam ripper. The material is a little thicker which is great but it's not White Oak Cone Mills great, and sadly won't ever be again since that plant shut down. Not sure where Levi's will have their USA line made now, but that's another story. The pair I received were made in Mexico and luckily all the seams are even and everything symmetrical. Hardly the case with most Levi's anymore. Sometimes you get a back pocket that's 3 inches from the center. And the left pocket will only be an inch from the center, or the seam running down the leg wraps around to the front or back of the leg. Super annoying. These were pretty good though. Closer to actual denim jeans. I tried on a number of 511's where the material felt insanely thin. Not denim like at all. Seemed more like 80% spandex and 20% denim or something's else, not great. But these work.

These is fitting toooo tight! Snugger than they say.

I bought these thinking they were regular fit tapered 501s but they're not. They are slim fit jeans and too small for me.

I purchased these jeans a month ago. If you are looking for a taper fit from Levi's, do not purchase these. The pair I received would be best classified as a straight fit jean. The quality and craftsmanship of the actual denim used is of a very nice selection, and the contrasted stitching is very complimentary to the color. Although the description lists the item as "Taper Fit Stretch Jeans", there is no stretch characteristic present in this particular pair. Another detail to note prior to purchasing these is the extremely large and prominent red "Levi's" tab that protrudes from the rear right pocket. After receiving the jeans, I actually decided to take a pair of scissors and remove the red tab because it looks very awkward, and tacky to the appearance. This product did not match the expectations I had pertaining to overall fit.

I thought the cut and fit were ok except that they didn’t stretch. They were sold as stretch jeans but were very rigid and felt as if they would rip if I moved

Worst purchase ever! Video doesn’t show the obnoxiously large red tab. My butt is not your billboard! Why must Levi’s always mess with design? You have a tried and true product why do you continually have to alter your labeling and back pockets?? Honestly, it’s maddening...... we want good quality jeans in the right cut. People KNOW that these are Levi’s jeans you already have the back pocket stitching, red tab and back patch and the initials are stamped on the rivets...the button fly is also iconic...... do we REALLY need a huge red tab ?

I was really hoping these were like last year’s 501 T but they’re not. These are 501 ST, which it doesn’t say. Really disappointing.

I have owned a black pair of last year's model of the 501T for a few months now. These quickly became my new favorite pair of jeans with the perfect fit and quality material. Due to this, I bought this product to get a different color of my favorite pair. I was happy with the look of this pair outside of the red tag that was much bigger this year - not sure as to why. All went south when I tried them on. This pair was more like a skinny jean than my favorite pair of 501T's from last year - despite being the exact size and style of the pair I already owned. I made the mistake of hoping they would fit better over time. Now I am left with a pair of jeans that don't fit and I cannot return. Disappointing changes to a perfect pair from last year. My advice would be to save your money and try to find a pair of last year's 501T if they ever restock.
