Wanted to give a good review for this so here it goes. I am 6’ ~195lbs, 46” chest. After reading other reviews and some help from an online chat - thank you online team!- i ordered the XL and am glad I did. First off, i love the boxier, blouson style cut of this jacket. I was worried about it accentuating my bulkier frame but its very flattering - pleats are your friend! Unwashed, the fit was darn near perfect. After a cold wash and extra rinse, i did notice a minute amount of shrinking - mainly the sleeves and length but it was as expected since I sized up so it worked as good as i hoped. It feels even more tailored after wearing it wet and giving it a gentle stretch to get some perceived length back. The fabric has substance, a nice slubby quality, and the stitching and finish feel worth the premium. I looked at a number of other japanese repro brands but why not get the real thing?

literally the only issue i have with the jacket is the lack of hand pockets. But as the 507XX didnt originally have them, it makes sense. This jacket looks great & feels great. I'm very stoked to have found it while on the other side of the country for a trade show. Right place, right time!

LVC has done it, might be the best Type II reproduction they've made, all the right details and fit. Raw Selvedge Denim, Leather Patch, Big E Tag, The best part is, as of October 2024, Made in Japan.

Great repro of a classic. 47 inch chest and XL fits perfect. The denim is very good. A lot like the denim on the LVC1955 501s
