Disappointing transaction

I ordered this item in a M as a gift, and then I got emails saying that it was shipped and then that it was going to get delayed and finally that I should call for a reshipping or refund because there was something wrong with the order. I called and she said she could reshipped and then she said the item was out of stock and so I got a refund. I was just curious because it said that my order was awaiting the carrier but the assistant told me they had no information on it and that I should call fedex. So I did and they said that they haven’t gotten any information for a pickup from Levi’s and that I should make an appointment for pickup. To sum it up I think Levi’s just sold this item when it was already out of stock which left me disappointed and confused. I’m content that I got the refund but I wish I wasn’t given false hope or misinformation before purchasing.
