Love the New Look Dark Wash! Just got out my summer clothes and I have a plethora of 501 shorts in 28 and 29. For buyers, they do stretch. I have 28s from 10 years ago that are now a good 3 inches bigger than the 29s that just arrived. After wash, use a wooden hanger to stretch to your content and eureka! I've got a size 30 on the way (the largest I've ever ordered) to see if they fit loosely on the go. Thanks Levi's for the great sale!

The best denim shorts

Every year since 2016 I purchase these shorts as part of my summer collection. I absolutely love the fit although, I wish they had a lil more stretch.

Nice fitting shorts. The waist and hips are fitted whereas on the hips is a bit loose. Very comfortable though

Perfect fit and make my tummy look flat

I’m a size 16 and I ordered these in size 33 and they fit perfectly. I love the non stretch material because it sucks your tummy in. They are very comfortable and they don’t ride up between my thighs like some shorts do.

Love the color. I have these in another color, same size and they're very broken in, but the waist wasn't as high. This new pair feels tighter than I expected them to be.

Cute but run small

The cut and look of these seems great, but they run small. I normally wear a size 30 in high rise jeans (725 bootcut, ribcage straight), and the 30 in these is too tight to even move around. Definitely size up!

Really short

I love the quality and color. I ordered my usual size 28. They fit but a little snug at the waist. I could have sized up to a 29 or even a 30 for a more comfortable fit. Unfortunately they were final sale, so I’m unable to exchange. I would say these run small at the waist and they are super short. I’m slim, 140lbs, 5’6” for reference.

Diaper Chic

If you have a wider waist and narrower hips, these look and fit like a diaper. There is just way too much material through the pockets and crotch. I'm 5'8 135 lbs with a 27.5" waist and 36.5" hips, athletic build, and the 28s fit around the waist loosely but the rest of the short is enormous. Ordering 27s to see if they'll work without giving me a muffin top. I miss the old 501s with 3 buttons instead of 4, I have a pair from 2017 that are so superior to these. Oh well.
