I liked these so much I purchased a second pair. When I first pulled them on I thought there was no way they would fit because they felt a little tight going over my hips. But they fit as if they were tailor-made for me. Absolutely perfect. They say they are pre-shrunk, and I purchased a 32 inseam to allow for some shrinkage. So, I will have to get these hemmed, I guess. But I have ordered a 30 seam to see whether those are a better length. For reference, I am 5’11, 134 lbs., long-waisted. I am a size 6 in most clothing. I ordered a size 28.

These are super high waisted and very flattering. The denim is fairly lightweight and pre-shrunk. Given the high waist and 100 percent cotton, it does take a little squirming to get them over my hips but I wouldn’t change a thing. Cool denim for women, thank you Levi’s! For reference, I’m 5’5” 105 lbs, usually order the smallest size in everything (xxs, 00, etc). Went with the 23x32. They’re a bit long with flats, good with boots, fit like a glove. The leg opening measurement (width at the cuff) is 7 3/4.

Got in my size, they fit a lot more snug than usual. They fit very high waisted and leg length was too long on me (there wasn't a length choice at the time I purchased) but they do make you look quite snatched. I ended up returning but the quality of them was very nice.

Loved these jeans! I specifically was looking for raw denim. They fit well. The straight/slim leg cut with the very high waist is very flattering. I found that they fit very true to size but I did have to wiggle them on due to the very high waist. Have said all this… I will be returning them. I just don’t know how one can sit in these jeans. The waist cuts into my stomach.

Stunning pair, super flattering, and feels very quality. I wear a lot of boutique brand, high-end selvedge denim and these feel comparable. Fortunately I was able to try on for size when I purchased them in Paris - I’m usually a 26/27 and the 29 fits like a glove, so be prepared to size up 1-2 over your normal! Timeless denim worth the investment.

I love that they are not elastic and that the denim is in its original shape and color. Very rare nowadays. The only thing that would make them greater (for me) is if they were shorter. They are exactly as described and true to size.

Description on the site says these are low rise with a relaxed fit, they're the Opposite. Ribcage high and snug through the butt and thigh. These look more like slim-bodied 70's mom jeans (from the knees up) when worn.Also, I ordered a few sizes for fit and they run small, the 29 fit like a 27. Had to return them as they were totally unflattering and disappointing.

As one of the other reviewers complained, sizing runs very small. Levi's responded with a poor excuse that they have "a huge range of jeans that are designed to fit different body types and styles" but that doesn't really excuse what's going on with this cut. The description says it fits "Relaxed through your hip and thigh" yet it's seems tighter than their current "Original" 501 cut that's described as "Regular Through The Thigh". I bought the 34/30 and perhaps it's an issue with this particular pattern, others described other sizes as true. Also, for a "Levi's Vintage" premium priced product, the quality seems rather poor. Material seems thin, sizing on the pattern spread seems inconsistent, and a cheep zipper. Seems someone else tried my pair on thinking this was their size also - the tight area around the hip pulls directly at the bottom of the open zipper and while trying to get them up, they must have pulled 3-4 teeth off one side of the open zipper, rendering it useless in it's full length. I've compared this zipper to my other Levi's and it does seem lighter and cheeper. Overall, I'm very disappointed. I've spent a lot of time navigating through the "fit" of the different styles of Levi's Jeans and when there's such inconsistencies within a particular pattern spread, it makes it difficult to understand how to order their products. Also makes it difficult for Levi's to understand when they have problem. To be fair, their products are sewn all over the world with reasonable consistency. One might, and perhaps they, assume that the Japanese made premium product would be of a higher and more consistent quality - I'm feeling they need to take a closer look at this. I really wanted to be thrilled with this purchase but unfortunately it's getting returned as defective. I'm hoping they run a new batch of the 701 that would stand up in quality to the premium price they're charging for it - I do want to be thrilled with a pair of good 701s...

The sizing is so off. The same size in another pair of Levi's is a full 1.5" different so unfortunately these will be getting returned. Uncertain if this is a quality issue or a vanity sizing issue. Regardless, expected MUCH better for the price.

I am so disappointed with how these turned out. I ordered a pair and LOVED them. Literally found the perfect jeans, super flattering, nice stiff fabric. I'm not sure if anyone else got washing instructions but I certainly didn't. I threw them in the wash and they're completely different. They soft, they get baggy quickly, they just feel sort of cheap. The legs also got shorter when I washed them. I wish I knew how to rectify this as I loved the structured stiff fit of the jeans I intially purchased. And they were so expensive :(

The Levi’s 701 jeans I ordered were a disappointment. The fabric felt rough, stiff and uncomfortable even after washing them. I was surprised by this as they were the most expensive jeans on the menu but that fabric felt cheap. When I tried to remove the back tag the pocket tore easily like paper which further called into question the integrity of the fabric. I was disappointed with this purchase, however in the past, I had ordere this same style in black denim and they were Cómo for table and durable. I’m gunshy of ordering from Levi’s again.
