I have these jeans in 3 different colors - Exit Stage Left, Eternal Indigo Dark Tint, and Eternal Indigo Md. All fit ok, but the Exit Stage Left pairs are a bit tighter than the other two colors. I bought a 28 in all three to make sure they'd fit over my thighs and hips, and probably could have gotten away with a 27 in the two Indigo pairs. I can still wear all 3 just fine with a belt, but just be aware that the different colors will have a different fit.
I'm 5'5, 28" waist, 39"-40" hips.

I bought Levi’s 721 in size 33 in both black and blue. I absolutely love the fit — they are high-waisted, give a nice tummy-control feel, and have just the right amount of stretch.
