The Jacket Nightmare
I was really looking forward to having my Levi’s jacket customized, but unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing and much more complicated than it should have been.
From the beginning, there were issues. When we contacted the store to check the status of the jacket, they initially could not locate it. After several attempts, Daniel was finally able to find it. We later received a call from Daniel explaining that our request to change the buttons could not be completed because the jacket had snap buttons rather than regular buttons. While that was disappointing, we understood the explanation and appreciated being notified.
However, when we received the jacket on August 13, we discovered additional problems. All of the pockets had been sewn shut, which was never something we requested, and some of the stitching was not properly done. After already dealing with the jacket being difficult to locate and the requested customization not being possible, receiving it with additional work performed that we never authorized made the experience even more frustrating.
I do want to recognize Felix, the manager, who stepped in and helped us through the situation. Felix listened to our concerns, took responsibility for getting things addressed, and ultimately made it right. His professionalism and customer service were greatly appreciated.
That said, a custom order from Levi’s should not require this many phone calls, corrections, and problems. When a customer is paying to have a jacket customized, there should be clear communication, accurate documentation of what was requested, and quality control before the finished item is returned.
Thank you to Felix for taking care of us in the end, but unfortunately, the overall customization experience was not what we expected from Levi’s.
