all of the casual pants fit too loose and baggy
despite a 38 waist, i don't need all the extra fabric elsewhere
these pants have a closer, slimmer hip & leg fit which suits me well
i actually received compliments. i no longer look like i'm wearing baggy pants! hurray!

I like these pants, I like Levi's overall. They fit well on me, but I wanted something that did NOT look like a Jean. These are a nice material. They fit similar, but have a non-jean appearance and I like it.

These are a great fit - not too baggy, not too slim. That said, this particular wash isn’t a pair of jeans. It’s closer to chinos.

Pants arrived w magnetic anti-theft tag attached

The pants I ordered arrived on time and as described. However, they came with the magnetized anti-theft tag still attached. So I had to drive to the nearest Kohl's store to have the tag removed. That was disappointing and a waste of my time and gas to get it removed.

These pants look great.... except for the big black tag on the back that says Levi Strauss, 514 and the waist and length size. I find it weird that it is so big, and not supposed to be taken off. After a lot of effort, I did get it removed, but there is a slight mark where it was.

Bought the graphite & khaki twill for my son, but had to re-order cause of sizing issues! No two sizes are alike! They look great, wash great & are very soft which he loves!! Only wish they made a 33 or 34 inseam in the smaller sizes!

These were one of a few choices for tall, thin and young. These pants are soft and have a slim fit - not snug. The colors slate and khaki are great and go with everything. I will be purchasing more.

Levi's 514 - excellent jeans, unreliable sizing

I decided to get rid of my loose and baggy jeans and replace them with several pairs of slimmer jeans. I'm very happy with the 514s, which are a good fit for me. If you are packing a few extra pounds around the waist or lower regions, these are not for you. Unfortunately, the sizing on these jeans is very unreliable, with *at least* a one inch variation around the waist and the seat depending on the individual pair of jeans. That variance is probably caused by slightly different patterns or loose quality control in the different countries where they are made. For me, I had to try 10 pairs of 514s to find four that fit me properly. So I don't recommend ordering these online, but rather going to a store and trying them on in person.

length of pants requested was NOT what I received. Seems like it varies depending on what country put the pants together!!! that should not vary, in my opinion. The pants I received are at least 2" longer than the previous pair. Of course, they weren't put together in the same country! Very disappointing in the quality control on the length of pants!

I've been a big fan of the Levi's 514 pants for a while. The image of this particular gray color look to be more of a slate gray. However, when I got them they're a lot lighter than the images suggest. Don't wear light colored pants often and I was really hoping these were a darker gray

Got these for my husband because he just switched from 501 jeans since high school to the more fitted 514's. I was happy to get him some khakis. They fit all wrong. Not too big or too small, but just... wrong, while the jeans 514's fit like they were custom made for him. Go figure!

I'm a huge fan of the 514 stretch style, but they don't come in this khaki color. I figured I would give the standard 514 and boy I did not fit in these at all. I returned them in store for the same sized 559's that fit much better. The pants themselves felt like the normal high-quality, but pretty tight.

I ordered two pair of the exact same pants in the exact same size. The problem was only one pair fit. Now how do I order another pair? I want the bigger sized ones, but they were both marked the exact same way. but there was about an inch difference in the waist, and another inch different in the length. I am not sure why this was.

These used to be wonderful jeans. They now have stretch in them. And that makes the sizes all wrong. And the stretch wears out and then the size increases. And then you get to wear a baggy jeans. They have ruined Levi’s.
