The rigid 36W is different than the normal one

I bought this jeans and was disappointed because it lost color after a couple of washes. Also once you tumble dry the material gets extremely crumpled and hard and its impossible to wear it just like that. Also I bought a non - rigid variety for the same waist and length but the waist is atleast an Inch more than the regular. All in all I would stick to my gas-light color variety.

Material has been thinned down

I have purchased 505's for many years. The latest two pair purchased were made from significantly thinner material. They no longer feel like Levi's. If I had not puchased them from a very well known department store I would swear they were knock-offs. Very disspointed.

This pair was marked as something they're not. Bought them for my brother, they were marked & tagged as what I ordered(505 in 38x30) , but they do not fit the same. Waist sits much higher & the length is 2 inches longer than every other pair of these jeans he has. The same pair in "Range" fit perfect. If you buy these, be sure to compare them with another pair before you remove the tags & wash them!

Ordered multiple pairs to replace many pairs of existing levi 505 jeans. Unfortunately, jeans labeled with the same size did not match each other, let alone the jeans being replaced. (Waist varied 2-3 inches; length varied 3-4 inches.) Very hard to order online, as each pair must be tried for correct fit. Love 'em when you can find the correct size.

I recently purchased these 505 rigid's and surprisingly they fit alittle to big for me. I'm a size 32x30 and they fit like a 33x30. When I pull up the jeans to my waist, the butt puffs out so I have to sag it lower to make it look normal. And that makes me look somewhat short. Its fortunate enough that other 505s I have don't do this but its sad that it has to be this one because I really like the color of rigid.

I bought these jeans based upon prior ownership of the same line (505). These jeans however are VERY small (waist) compared to other 505's I have owned. Great color though.

I have purchased 505 unwashed (now called Rigid) over the past 25 years. Always the same size 36/32. Now they say don't wash them - wear them for 2 months. The new 36/32 are 2 inches too big, the 34/32 fit like the 36/32 used to. But who knows after they are washed? I haven't fit into 34/32 since 1980. Also - one pair of 505 say they sit below the waist. The other pair say they sit at the waist except they sit lower than the ones below the waist.
Good jeans & a good company ruined.

I ordered these along with several other Levi's 505 jeans (tumbled rigid, and range), all in 32x34. The others were the length expected, but the inseam on these was at least 2 inches longer than the others.
Nice, durable jeans... if only the size was right.

Ordered online after ordering a pair of 511's that fit well. Upon arrival I liked the weight of the 505's they seemed tough and durable. However, I wear a 31x32 in most jeans/pants and found that these were large and long. So unfortunately I had to return them and am planning on trying either 501's or 30x32. Biggest problem is if I have to return the second pair I'll be wasting shipping cost

I have been wearing Levis 505 32x34 for over 30 years. I used to be able to order my size with confidence; it was always a perfect fit. Lately, I have ordered, hoped and returned over and over. The waist is shorter by about 2 inches, the sides seams are rarely straight. Come on Levis', whats going on. The label inside says a "genuine American tradition" , I have searched through my current inventory; I have made in: Mexico, Bangladash, Pakistan, Nicaragua, Egypt...not a single pair of USA. Is this the problem? I am giving it one more try, then I will be forced to switch brands.

At 50 years old, I've been wearing Levis 505 since forever. Since my size (lucky for me) hasn't changed, my wife picked up a at the store because they do wear out! She untaged and washed as usual. Not knowing the difference I grabbed them out of my closet to put on to go to work. OMG!!!T these jeans felt like dress pants!!! I was embarrased to wear them to work, they are so thin. They Stink!!!! Time to find a different brand and soon!!!!!

Different than the other 505s

This is my third pair of 505s that I've purchased - the others being Panic and Range. The others have turned into great jeans but this pair may not come out of the closet (all three pairs are 31x32). After wearing them a few times to break them in, I washed them as I did the others, but these shrunk more so than the other pairs in both length and around the thighs.
I'm not giving up on 505s just yet, but this pair was disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wouldn't recommend these jeans.They are a knock off of the 505 levi.I order the tumbled rigid because they are always stiff, and I can get some use out of them .I work heating and air,electric and plumbing.I have to crawl under houses and in attics.I need a Jean that's not going to ripe the first time I wear them.They are to THIN.I've orded them in the past and they were the thick material but the new ones are very THIN.

I ordered these 505s in a 29 waist which are hard to find in retail shops. These fit very loosely and are not comfortable. I think they have altered the way they are cut. I am very disappointed as I wear these all the time

Bad Shrinkage!!!

Jeans fit great until they were washed. After washing, shrinkage was 1 1/2 inches in length and 1 1/2 inches in waist. I have never had a pair of Levis shrink this bad in over 40 years.

The jean I received is supossed to be 34x30, but the measures doesn't match with my normal size. I will return it because I thing is a mistake from production.

This was going to be my first pair of rigid fit jeans. Upon receiving it and taking it out of the package, the fit looked odd. Sure enough they were too big for me and I'm already a big guy. Usually all my jeans have the same inseam and they are around the same length. This pair was too long and it felt really baggy.

Very disappointed to receive a far bigger and longer 505 than the ones that I bought. This one must have been labelled wrongly. Try exchange at store but refused unless I pay the difference from online discount and at store price. No choice but to return it but missed the great Black Friday bargain! Don't know if I should trust shopping online at this site anymore.

These are the biggest jeans I have ever bought! They are at least 2-3 sizes larger than what is indicated. I will be returning mine and won't be buying anymore. BEWARE!

I bought 2 pairs of 505 on different dates.
I returned both pairs because after washing once the outside left seam on one pair and the outside right seam on the other pair ended up over my knee and shoe.
You would think that an old established company like Levi's would get it right.
After reading several of the other reviews this seems to be a problem with the 505 jeans

I thought it was me! The reviews I read today made me feel better. Why we had to change the cut of the classic 505 is beyond me. I have sampled every pair I could possibly find in four different states with the same result. If you hold up a new pair to an older pair, the waist to the crotch is 1 to 2 inches (or more) shorter. At my age, hip huggers ain't where it's at. Hope you have a new fan base because after 45 years of loyalty I'm forced into other brands.

I ordered 32x34 and they were HUGE. Maybe 34x36? I wound up washing them and hang-drying. No real noticable shrinkage. Got frustrated and washed them again and dryed in dryer on high heat. They fit perfectly now. I'm disappointed because I had not planned on washing them to keep them as rough as possible. Now they are nowhere near as rigid as they originally were. Also, the stitching on the left leg is crooked. The entire left leg turns and the stitching touches the top and back of my shoe. It feels SO annoying. QC Levis????? I chose "recommend" only because they fit after drying them in the dryer. I will not be ordering online again because of this.

505 Rigid -- I'm very disappointed

I have worn the 505 Rigid jeans (34X32) for over 30 years. Recently purchased two new pair, washed them as normal to obtain a bit of shrnkage. Tried them on, the were almost 4 inches too large in the waste, I deal with the lack of shrinkage in the legs by cuffing a bit, but the overage in the waist is unacceptable. Strange how a you could buy with confidence a few years ago, strangely now is something unusable and almost unknown.

Rigid 505s, size is not as advertised

I have Tumbled Rigid 514s @ 29x32 and 30x32. They both fit great (the 29s are almost illegally snug, lol).
I also have Medium Stonewash 505s @ 29x32. They fit okay, a tad more relaxed than the 514s, as expected.
Thought I'd try Rigid 505s @ 29x32. They practically fall off me! I couldn't get into a 28x32, so this style in Rigid simply doesn't fit.

I needed to add to my jean collection as some of my jeans are ready to be retired. Ordered the same Levi's 32/32 that fit me great. My body hasnt changed the ones I own still fit the same. The new ones. were huge both in length and waist. Why Levi continues to change the fit of their existing styles is beyond me. However after wearing Levi's almost exclusively for 40 years I think I am done hoping that Levi jeans will ever fit good again. All I do is buy hope get disappointed and return the past 18 months.
