About this Style
In 1934, we introduced the first five-pocket jean specially built for women: the 701®. Made famous by a premiere American fashion magazine of the time, the 701® had a distinct high rise and a curved fit. This recreation of the 1950s 701® features the same high rise, a relaxed fit and is finished with a cloth Levi's® back patch.
Today, we reproduced these glossy magazine-approved 1950s 701 jeans stitch-for-stitch using premium selvedge denim.

- These durable selvedge jeans were woven on a traditional narrow-width shuttle loom—making them highly covetable. Roll up the cuff to show off the selvedge ID.

- Wash your jeans once every 10 wears at most; this increases their lifespan and saves natural resources. Machine wash cold. Do not bleach. Tumble dry medium. Hot iron if needed. Dry cleaning possible. Wash inside out with like colors

Levi 701 Jeans

These jeans are very flattering with a high waist. I went for my usual size 27 and they fit me perfectly. The zipper is a bit stiff and I wasn't sure if it would break, but so far it's ok, so I'm hoping it'll settle the more I wear them. I do love the 1950's style of these jeans and I am happy with my purchase.

My Forever Jeans

I was worried and hesitant about the 701s but I made sure to do good research before I bought my pair. Amazing pair of jeans. Great quality and fit! Plus its a classic! It’s thr Marilyn Monroe jeans. My first LVC. I usually wear a size 29 in 501s etc, but am between sizes 29 and 30z for this I followed other reviewd and sized up 1, and got a 30. It fit me perfectly. I might buy another pair but need to save up first. I love the high waist and how it flatters my legs.You cuff the ends to complete the classic look. I dont care about trends anymore. This is a Keeper for Life.

Superb fit, soft yet bodacious denim with great drape, and chic cut with high rise, cinched at the waist and transitions to nice room at the thighs, I love these jeans (which TBH are better than a $420 designer pair I bought foolishly)! I hope Levi’s comes out with more washes in this model!

CHIC jeans bett than the $400 designer pair I own.

Best purchase this year! These jeans are identical (prob they are what inspired) to a very expensive designer pair I own. . . Maybe even better. The softest (yet not thin) denim, perfect, flattering cut that fits the waist and has room in the thigh, and very chic high-rise waist. I hope Levi’s comes out with more washes in this model!

I generally like these jeans very much. I ordered my usual Levis size which turned out to be a mistake. I usually wear a size 26 but in Levis I wear 25 and i found that the 25 is a tad too small which i guess means they're true to size. Went ahead and ordered a 26 and expect them to fit perfectly. The rise is very high which gives them a true vintage fit. The denim is also really soft making them comfortable and easy to move in. Overall very impressed.

These pants, more than the typical jeans that you can think of, are more like slacks that are traditional jeans... if you can understand that. I'm saying this because the quality of the fabric and craftsmanship is obvious.
The fabric is not as thick and stiff as other jeans that are made with Japanese fabric (such as the boyfriend jeans), but it is not light.
As someone mentioned, you can not show off the fact that these are selvedge jeans because of the dyeing material.
Would I buy them again in a different color? Absolutely--if I can get a good discount.

Great pair of jeans

I am 28’ and 1.72 height and ordered 28’ inseam 32 they fit like a glove. The fabric is very soft which makes the high rise very comfortable at the hips and waist. The zipper quality is also great. I Am buying another wash in the sale 😉
