As you probably guessed from the name, they feature a slim fit through the thigh that tapers down to the ankle. the end result? A seemingly tailor-made pair of jeans you can style any which way.

I recently picked up a pair of Levi’s 512 Slim Taper jeans in grey, and they’ve quickly become a favourite in my wardrobe. These jeans are excellent, they have just the right amount of stretch, making them very comfortable for wearing throughout a long day without feeling restricted. These will be my 5th different 512 pair!
One thing I will note is the waist sizing on the 512s can be a bit inconsistent. If you usually wear W28, I recommend trying both the 28 and 29, and verifying the fit before committing. Sometimes the 28 feels like a 29, and the 29 can fit more like a 30 or even 31.
Overall, the quality and style are spot on, and the comfortable stretch makes them a solid choice for everyday wear. Just be prepared to double-check the sizing before purchase!
