I've been eyeballing these shorts for awhile. They fit perfectly in the waist and wide in the thighs (so they can breathe). I can also roll up the hem. I got the 28, for reference my waist is 30in and hips are 41in.

High rise and baggy fit is the best match for me. I love how comfortable this shorts are and they’re 100%cotton. So it feels more structured than stretchy. I like fabric like that because it’s not thin, which is a plus for white shorts.
