Had 501s for over 40 years and this version is the best in style, feel and colour. Bought 2 pairs in the sale and getting another pair. Not sure where people get the impression they are STF - they are not. Get your actual size.

I have a 36" waist and ordered a 36" and 34". The unwashed 36" was very loose and the 34" fitted my waist. Anticipating shrinkage I went with the 36" and returned the other pair. These jeans have not shrunk as much as I expected, even after two 95°C washes. They fit in the waist but are wide in the thigh and full in the seat. Perhaps what might be called a cowboy cut, comfortable in the saddle. I wanted a regular fit but these are looser than my Lee 101z or Wrangler 13mwz.
