HOW TO MAKE A STAINED GLASS TRUCKER JACKET

Wir stellen vor: Jen Sharkey, Levi's® Schneidermeisterin in San Francisco. Kürzlich war sie auf einem Spaziergang, als sie etwas beobachtete – Kinder, die mit Gehwegkreide ihre grauen Einfahrten in Kunstwerke verwandelten, die sie an Buntglas erinnerten. Und sie hatte eine Idee: Das kann man doch prima auf eine Trucker Jacket übertragen.

Jen nahm sich vor, ihre Trucker mit Materialien umzugestalten, die sie bereits zu Hause hatte. Dann beschloss sie, uns davon zu erzählen. Jetzt kannst du dir deine eigene Trucker Jacket mit Buntglas-Effekt selbst machen. Befolge einfach diese Schritte.

DAS BRAUCHST DU:

  • Trucker Jacket
  • Drei oder mehr Farben
  • Pinsel
  • Schmales Malerband
  • Breites Malerband
  • Föhn
  • Bügeleisen
  • Stoffrest

SCHRITT 1:

Klebe das Design auf der Rückseite deiner Trucker ab. Mach einfach drauf los, oder zeichne ein Design mit einem Stift vor, bevor du es abklebst. Verwende das dünne Klebeband für das Muster und das breite, um den Rahmen zu kennzeichnen.

SCHRITT 2:

Suche drei oder mehr Farben aus. Mach einen Test auf der Innenseite der Trucker, um zu sehen, wie die Farben wirken.

SCHRITT 3:

Jetzt wird es farbenfroh. Aneinander liegende Glaselemente sollten nicht dieselbe Farbe haben. Verwende eine dünne Farbschicht, um einen ausgewaschenen, buntglasigen Effekt zu erhalten.

SCHRITT 4:

Jetzt die Jacke zum Trocknen aufhängen. Wenn es schnell gehen soll, einen Föhn benutzen.

SCHRITT 5:

Das Klebeband entfernen und den Stoffrest auf die Farben legen. Jetzt drüber bügeln, um die Farbe richtig zu fixieren.

SCHRITT 6:

Am Ende noch ein paar Details am Kragen oder den Manschetten, um das Design zu vervollständigen. So, wie du es vorher schon gemacht hast.
