I have recently purchased several pairs of Levis 501 Original Fit Jeans in different washes. This was the style I wore in the 90's and stilI love them. I love the way they fit because I am an hourglass shape and this style accentuates my waist. I am also short-waisted and these don't come up too high - right at my belly button. I have a 31 inch waist, 38 inch hips, weigh 135 lbs and I'm 5' 5" tall. I purchased a 29 waist with 32 length. I also purchased the 30 waist and they were too big in the hips. I appreciate that Levis includes the actual waist dimensions for the different waist number sizes. I have found this information to be accurate. I love the weight of these jeans and the 100% cotton fiber content. Just be aware that cotton stretches out but doesn't bounce back like jeans that contain lycra, elastane or some other stretchy fiber. I recommend sizing down like I did. I only wish they offered a 31 to 31 1/2 inch inseam because the 30 inseam is too short and the 32 inseam is too long on me for this style. I just have t be OK with the jeans pooling at the bottom and always wear some kind of heel.

So happy to come back to the Original 501’s! The jeans I had been wearing were up to $140! I just wasn’t paying that much anymore and I like this fit better anyways!
