I'm so thrilled with these! I consider them my "forever" jeans :). I went to the Levi's store to try them on and make sure to get 2 sizes over my regular size, and bought them in a size 29 waist x 28 inseam. I first washed them cold and hung them to dry, but they needed additional shrinking, so I then washed them in hot water and put them in the dryer and they are PERFECT! These are the exact jeans that I've been looking for for years!

I love the selvedge denim and prefer no stretch. I am waiting for Levis to release a light wash/vintage wash in selvedge 501 Original. Please!!!

These jeans are awesome. I am 5'-3", 135-140 lbs, and generally wear 27Wx28L in Levi's. The 28 length usually hits right below my ankle bone. I got both washes of Selvedge in my usual size, and they were pretty different. The lighter wash is a slimmer fit and fits perfectly out of the gate, like so perfectly, I'm a little afraid to wash them. The darker wash was huge and long in my usual size, but the shrink-to-fit brought it down to literally the best fit ever, minimal waist gap, roomier in the hips and legs, and my preferred ankle bone length. Given that shrink-to-fit is so unpredictable, I hope this information helps others anxious about washing and voiding the return option. I'm glad I didn't go even one size up for the dark wash. I definitely recommend these jeans if you can nail down the sizing.

I have grown up wanting Levi 501's my entire life. I was a farm girl, Levi's were the staple. But I was 5'10 by the time I was 12 and the jeans were never long enough. I'm 35 and was finally able to buy my first pair of Levi's in a long length and I am truly the happiest human. They are exactly what I grew up knowing they are. Sturdy, tough, flattering, and they hold their shape. Thank you for finally accommodating us tall girlies!

Perfect pair of jeans for an updated wardrobe! Absolutely love the wash and fit of these jeans. I’m 5’5” and 125lbs and while I’m normally a 27, I went for a 28 as I’m in my 50s and wanted a looser fit and since there’s no stretch I like this look.

Beautifully made with outstanding quality. You can immediately feel the difference in the fabric. The selvedge denim stretches less than regular 100% cotton and really keeps its shape. The wash is beautiful—crispy and vintage-inspired without feeling tacky. You can clearly tell the difference between tightly woven selvedge denim to the 100% cotton and stretch styles. I love all of them, but the selvedge is by far my favorite. Once you go selvedge, it’s hard to go back.
